Spiderman is a big hit all around the world. It's only been a month, but damn, Michael is good at using his abilities to help innocent people in the city. He's on the news every day--well, not Michael himself; Spidey's always standing in his spotlight--and the citizens cheer whenever they see him dash by in a blur of blue and red. There's T-shirts of him, fanart, fanfictions, the list goes on and on. Everyone loves him.

Spidey hasn't been pulled over to do an interview or talk to a citizen for ten minutes about the weather. He's always on a rush to get to the next person who needs help. It seems like nowadays, people are making trouble on purpose just so he could save them. Sometimes he jumps into a selfie with his adoring fans, but the next second he's slinging webs onto the nearest building or light fixture and soaring off.

It's been a bit hard balancing school, work, friends, homework, and Spiderman into one day. Sometimes Michael can't be Spiderman, but the next morning he's still in the news. Some people freak out that he's going to be taking a break from saving lives, but he ends up a few hours or so later saving the day once again. It's been a great way to boost his self-esteem. To know that people love, look up to, and encourage him just makes him feel so much better about himself. He's needed. He's wanted in this world.

Michael's blue hair has faded a lot since November. He's added a bit of purple here and there to spice things up before he dyes his whole head again. Izzy even considered taking his purple hair dye from him and doing her hair, but she chickened out.

Currently, the gang is hanging out at Luke's house. They had just hit up the Walgreen's next to Luke's house for some snacks--Michael actually ended up buying a few toys from the kids section. The six of them were spread out all around Luke's basement, eating and talking about whatever pops up in their heads. Eventually the topic of conversation transitioned into Spiderman. Michael sat quietly on the couch as he listened to everyone, unknowingly, talk about him.

"Spiderman's really cool. How does someone like him exist? He's like some character Marvel would have created," Ashton said from his seat next to Calum on the couch. He chewed on some Swedish Fish as everyone around him agreed with his statement. "Michael, I bet you love him to death. You always loved superheroes."

Michael nodded as some of his friends turned to look at him. He was sitting on the ground next to Mellie. They were sharing a big bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Their fingers were turning red from the dust.

"How old do you think he is? Is he our age? Older," Mellie asked as she took a few more Cheetos out of their bag. She popped them into her mouth and starting chewing. She then asked the most important question, according to her, with some Cheetos still in her mouth. "Is he hot?"

Michael snorted from next to her. Ashton and Calum looked at him from the couch with raised eyebrows. They probably thought that Michael now has competition for Mellie. But little did they know! He was in competition with himself.

"I don't really like spiders. So I don't really care so much about him--" Izzy said as she scooped some Nutella onto a strawberry. She took a bite out of it, some of the strawberry juice dripping into the bowl that sat in her lap. She wiped her chin with a napkin before continuing. "--but I think he's pretty cool. It's awesome to have a real life superhero in New York."

Izzy handed her bowl of fruits over to Luke who was sitting next to her with Kit Kats and Reese's surrounding him. He accepted a strawberry before handing it back to her. Just as he bit into the fruit, there were sounds of footsteps walking down the stairs. All six of them turned to look at the staircase, waiting to see who was coming down to scope the scene.

It was Luke's dad. He looked at the six teenagers and waved to them before stepping onto the cold ground.

"Hello, kids," he greeted them with a smile. Mr. Hemmings is a very nice man. He's kind to everyone, he's just strict with the cleaning up rules. He likes his basement to be in good condition, so he was a bit wary of Luke's friends eating on his couches all the time, but after a while he softened.
