Two weeks drag when you're constantly thinking about someone. At least that's what it seemed like to Michael. He just couldn't get that girl out of his head. It was making him sick. He was sick of himself for doing this. But she just made his heart soar once he looked into her eyes. And it wasn't just because she was pretty, it was because of the music. It was because she wore his favorite band's merch, and listened to that one other band that he also really liked. And if someone has similar tastes in music as you, you become best friends with them.
Music is literally Michael's life. And to find a girl--well, maybe there were two girls but he didn't see the other one--who, literally, likes his life, was amazing. He wanted to just get to know her, but he doesn't even know her name.
So, it's been two weeks since he 'met' her. He hasn't told Ash or Cal about it. He didn't want to make a big deal out of a girl he delivered pizza to. He only talked to her for a minute, and if he told either of them about how infatuated he was with her it would seem sort of creepy. At least, maybe to them. But to Michael it made complete sense as to why he would like her.
Michael was still trying to understand the concept of him even liking a girl properly.
He's had one girlfriend before. Well, not really. It was freshman year, he went to a party because Ashton was invited. He was fourteen, the parties weren't really that crazy. But they played spin the bottle and he had to kiss some girl. They ended up talking more that night and he got her number. They 'dated' for, what, three weeks? It was stupid, he didn't even really like her. And to think he blew his first kiss with someone he didn't even like sort of upset him. But Mike's always thought that love was for when you're an adult, never in school. He's learned that from Ashton's infatuation with Gaby.
But since he's met this red-haired girl, he's been told by Ash that he's been quiet lately. Which makes sense, he doesn't want to talk about her, but it's just that he spends so much time thinking about her that he forgets that he needs to talk to his own best friend.
It was Saturday, around three in the afternoon. Michael's had a shift since 12, and it ended at 4:30. He was going to sleep over at Ashton's after work. Sometimes having a sleepover at Ashton's really didn't work out. Harry would get nightmares and run into Ash's room some nights, and there'd end up being three boys sleeping in a sort-of-small room.
Michael had just returned from delivering pizza to a college guy. He ordered twelve pizzas. Twelve. And when Michael got to his house it seemed like there was no sort of party going on. Just this guy, and his twelve pizzas.
Just as Michael was about to walk into Big Papa's to get another delivery, Calum walked outside with one pizza in his arms. Calum saw Michael and nodded his head at him, also raising his eyebrows while he did it.
"You've been taking single orders all day," Michael said, laughing a bit, as he walked towards Calum. "I just had to deliver twelve pizzas."
"Woo, give me the address; sounds like a party was goin' on." Calum smirked while he took the car keys out of his pocket and unlocked the number 2 car.
Michael laughed, that wasn't at all what went down. "Nah, no party. It was one guy who ordered. There seemed to be no one else in the house."
Calum raised his eyebrows once again at Michael before letting out a laugh. "Never mind then."
Michael looked over at the order in his arms. "What kind of pizza-" Michael froze in mid-sentence as he looked at the receipt.
"It's a pepperoni. My favorite. Pineapple is also pretty good, but Papa's doesn't sell that. Fuckin' bogus, if you ask me," Calum blabbered on before realizing Michael was sliding his hands under the pizza box also. Their fingers bumped, the box was still hot, but neither of them cared. "Hey, Mikey? What's-"
