"I think I might die," I mumbled aloud, more to myself than to anyone as I tightened the laces of my skates. Aiden laughed from beside me, doing up his own skates.

"Why?"

"Because everyone keeps staring at me." I stood up and ran a hand across the back of my leggings. "Do I have a fucking stain or something? Why is everyone staring?"

Aiden pushed himself up onto his feet, a low chuckle escaping his mouth. "They know we've broken up and are confused as to how you could let an absolute catch like me go." His words dripped with sarcasm but it didn't stop me from swatting his arm.

"How did they even find out? It's been less than a week." I wasn't all that upset with the fact that people knew, it was the how.

Aiden didn't seem the type to go telling everyone about his personal dating life and I hadn't said a word to anyone outside of Jonesy's friends. My friends.

"Your girlfriend's one friend, the dark haired girl who looks like she's ready to murder somebody, was talking to one of her teammates about how Jonesy had finally bagged her roommate, and Lila Stromer overheard."

Lila Stromer was the biggest big mouth I had ever met. If you were to look up the term "big mouth" it would simply be a picture of her.

"God, so everyone knows, huh?" I asked and Aiden nodded. "At least I won't have to make a public announcement or anything. I bet your dms are full again." I added with a laugh.

"What makes you think they were ever empty while we were together?" He replied with a wag of his eyebrows.

"Ladies love me, even if you don't." I joined him in laughter and followed him onto the ice.

This would be our last practice session before Thanksgiving break, so we were cramming in as much ice time as we could. To no one's surprise, we had gotten the roles of Clara and the Nutcracker and had almost completely memorized our parts. Our first performance was set for the week before Christmas.

My parents had called me to tell me they were coming and that they would be bringing my younger sister, Lavinia, with them. I was apprehensive about seeing them, as I still had not told them about my relationship with Jonesy, even though I had told myself, and Jonesy, that I was going too soon.

"She's not my girlfriend, you know. At least not yet." I corrected, placing my hand over Aiden's as he lifted me into the air.

"Are you waiting for her to ask you or are you going to do it?" He sets me back onto the ice and I spin out of his reach, within milliseconds he catches up to me.

"I'm going to; my family owns a cabin in Aspen, so I'm going to surprise the gang with plane tickets up there for Thanksgiving. I plan on asking her then." We spin in unison, our blades digging into the ice.

"I have it all planned out, the housekeeper will set everything up in the master suite and I've already had gifts delivered for everyone." I smiled, already counting down the days until the trip. I planned on announcing it tonight when we all went out to Mel's.

I had more than enough money in my trust fund to pay for everything, but my parents had insisted on pitching in since they were excited I had finally made friends. And by "pitching in" I mean they paid for everything and then some. I didn't mention that to anyone because once they realized just how rich my family was, they would no doubt treat me differently.

Jonesy was waiting for me when Aiden and I reached the lobby, a bright smile on her flushed face. I quickly said goodbye to Aiden before Jonesy wrapped her arms around my waist, planting a kiss under my ear. I shrieked loudly, causing several skaters to look over at us with looks of disdain and annoyance.
