10 years later...

Although it was nothing compared to the harsh winters of Russia, Fyodor found himself shivering under the snow of Yokohama. He walked briskly through the streets, yet he was careful not to drop the box in his hands. It had taken so long to find what was inside, he would hate to break it. Some time later he was met with the warm air of his apartment hitting his face. Well, his and one others... "Fedya, you're finally back!" Nikolai's voice echoed from the kitchen. "Did you find what you were looking for?" Fyodor smirked as he removed his boots. "Yes actually, I did." He replied. "And I don't suppose you're going to tell me what it is?" Asked the other. "Not a chance." Fyodor laughed as he heard Nikolai groan.
As he continued to remove his snow clothes, the scent of food caught his attention. "Did you order something?" He called out to Nikolai. "Of course not! I'm cooking." Fyodor abruptly stopped what he was doing, Nikolai cooking had never ended in anything other than fire. "Don't worry, nothings burnt...yet." Nikolai reassured him. (Though he said the last part rather quietly.) Fyodor left the box by the front door and walked into the kitchen to find Nikolai, who wore an apron that had certainly seen some use.
"Hello there songbird~" Nikolai cooed as he eyes Fyodor up and down. He walked over and began combing his fingers through Fyodor's dark hair. "You've got snow all in your hair..." He giggled before pressing a kiss to Fyodor's cheek. "Now, come and sit down. I made your favorite tea and everything!"

"Are you sure you haven't just been holding out on me?" Fyodor looked over to Nikolai as he sipped his tea. "All of that was perfect." Nikolai blushed profusely as he looked down at his own cup of tea. "No of course not. I guess I just got lucky." He smiled. Suddenly his eyes widened, as though he had just remembered something important. "Fedya, what time is it?" Fyodor glanced back curiously at their wall clock. "Nine thirty...Why?" Fyodor watched as Nikolai's jaw dropped. "And here I am a whole thirty minutes late! Spending all day preparing and then to go and lose track of time like that? Unbelievable..."
He continued to prattle on to himself until Fyodor gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "Kolya, what do you mean late? Late for what exactly?" Nikolai slapped a hand over his mouth as if he had just exposed a terrible secret. "Oops...Well, never mind explaining. I think it would be best if I just showed you." He led Fyodor up from the table and out into the hall. "Go ahead and put your coat back on, we're going to the roof!" This raised Fyodor's interest. "Just what are you going to do?" "Come now, have I ever led you wrong?" Nikolai protested. "Well, there was that time with the mushrooms..." Fyodor retorted with a sly grin, obviously teasing the other. "In my defense, some of them are very similar. Too similar really... But no time to argue, I'll be back in a second!" Nikolai hurriedly put on his coat and ran to, what Fyodor assumed was, their room. "And what was that for?" He asked when Nikolai came back, panting slightly. "I...almost forgot...your present." He smiled.

It was even colder now. The snow had ceased, but wind had taken its place. Still, the view from the roof of the apartment building made it hard to care about the cold. At least for Nikolai. "I never get tired of coming up here." He stated, looking out over the city below. "I find it more bearable in the summer." Fyodor shivered in response, earning a laugh from the other. Nikolai had, thankfully, thought to bring a blanket up with them. Taking this as his queue, he began to wrap it around the both of them, nuzzling close to his cold partner.
