"Paisley!"

The deep scream took the both of us by surprise and I was dropped to the floor on my stomach. I bounced a couple times feeling more air leave my lungs at the impact of the ground but gasped nonetheless as I felt some kind of air enter them. I watched the stranger's feet disappear as new feet appeared and punched him away from me. Another figure bent down with their hand on my back before turning me onto it.

"Hey, look at me," it was Sam. Who was fighting the monster?

I looked around gaining a little more consciousness but quickly feeling it fade again as I turned over coughing up some blood. I took a deep breath holding my chest.

"Eleanor, my baby, Sam," I gasped looking up at him side ways.

"Where .. where is she?"

"Secret .. Secret," I coughed blinking my eyes rapidly.

"Secret?"

"Son of a bitch!"

"Dean," I grumbled moving my head toward his direction. "Knows."

"Dean!" Sam scrambled to his feet and I tried but immediately felt hands on my shoulders keeping me to the ground. I felt a rough hand on my cheek. "She said you know where Eleanor is."

"She's hiding in the safe space?" he looked deep in my eyes. I nodded not knowing for sure but hoping she was.

"Momma!" I heard high squeals. Her scared squeals sent a surge of adrenaline through me and I brushed Dean's hand from my face. I got to my feet and started forcing my way up the stairs hearing his feet behind me.

"Hey, you have got to get out of here. I'll get her, let Sam get you out."

"Dean, that's my baby screaming for me. She needs me," I spoke through clenched teeth trying to suppress my cough.

"Exactly, she needs you to be okay. You know she's okay if she's in that room."

I looked at him angrily snatching my shoulder from his grip as I continued to lead the way to the room. He rolled his eyes with a groan as we entered her nursery and went to the little door in the far corner. I grabbed the key from the chest and shakily tried to jam it into the lock, and when he saw I was struggling, he grabbed my hand and guided me quickly. We threw the door open together as we heard a crash of debris downstairs.

"Momma!" she sobbed holding her arms out.

"I'm here, baby," I grabbed her and she looked to Dean with wide eyes as her little crocodile tears slowed down.

"Daddy!" she squealed in realization. Dean's face grew soft as I quickly got to my feet putting my shirt over her nose. I went to take a step holding her as close to me as possible only to wobble as her safety in my arms made my adrenaline quickly vanish and I began feeling all the pain and effects. I stumbled forward quickly grabbing her bed post seeing stars.

"Dean, I .. I can't," I blinked quickly with confused brows.

"Nuh uh, Paisley Lynn, don't you dare give out on me now," he swooped the both of us up. "Elli, honey, if mommy looks like she's going night night, I need you to tap her, okay?"

"No sleep for momma?"

"No, daddy needs mommy to stay awake."

My body bounced as I felt it going limp as he quickly ran down the stairs. I could vaguely see Sam still waiting for us at the bottom, and I could feel the last stair give out as Dean stepped on it nearly dropping us. Eleanor screamed and I jolted awake tightening my grip. I coughed violently as the smoke pierced my lungs as I kept the shirt over Eleanor's face as much as possible.
