"Look there's a lot going on, okay? I need to take the edge off somehow," Dean muttered as I went around to the backseat to gather Eleanor. I looked up at him with a look before bending down to unbuckle her clips. "Honey, c'mon."

"I mean, I get it. I can't talk," I muttered as I let her slip her jacket on.

"Not to say 'exactly' but .. " he chuckled as he stood behind me holding onto the door. I looked over my shoulder giving him a "watch it" look. Then I realized the pet calling was starting, so it made me realize we never really talked about where we stand.

"Hey, uhm, we never really talked about where we stand right now," I let her grab my finger to jump out of the impala. She giggled as she stomped hard a few more times.

"By daddy's car," Eleanor said in a duh tone as she kept stomping up and down in a puddle. I gave her a "really" look before looking back to Dean. He gave a slight smirk as he let me step away from the impala then shut the door.

"Where do you want it to be?" he put his hand on the low of my back as the three of us began walking towards the motel door. I knew where I wanted it to be. I love him and I would scream it to the ends of the Earth that I did, but I knew I messed up even if we were apart when it happened. I chewed on my lip looking at my feet as we stopped at the door so he could dig for the key in his pocket.

"Well .. I .. I know what I want, but .. but I know I messed up," I avoided looking up into his green eyes. "Apart or not. Drunk or not."

"Can I ask you something and you be completely straight with me?" he paused his search for the key. I watched as Eleanor ran her fingers along the sidewalk making imaginary pictures in her mind I assume. She was humming the Paw Patrol theme song to herself. I looked up at him urging him to continue. "If Sam didn't find that girl and came to be with you and Eleanor, would .. " he stopped himself letting a breath out through his nose. It was quite an aggressive breath as if he didn't want to ask what was going through his mind, and I don't think he needed to finish his question. I think I was picking up on exactly what he was wondering, and it kind of hurt me he'd have to question it. I frowned in response as he looked back at me.

"No," I shook my head with furrowed brows. "I love you. I've never liked Sam like that. Even when we were at Stanford," I pushed.

"Can you blame me for asking?" he looked away as he continued searching for the key in his pocket. He finally found it and started putting it in the door. "And how'd you know about that?"

"He told me the night you left," I shrugged. "I can't believe you thought it."

"Well, the way you two acted on the woman in white case when I came and got y'all, I only assumed," he shrugged.

"I had a crush on his bad boy big brother since I was 18. Take it we'll finish this conversation later," I laughed as he twisted the door knob. "C'mon, Elli."

"Yeah, I kind of want it to just be us talking about that. If that's okay."

"Of course. It's a matter for just us," I shrugged as Eleanor ran to Cas and got between his legs. He had been watching tv but immediately took his eyes off to look at her with a small smile.

"Hello, little one."

I smiled then looked over to see Sam had been looking at Dean and me no doubt wondering what it was we were talking about. He put his eyes back on his laptop as he cleared his throat slightly and started moving his eyes along with the words. I let out a sigh as I looked to Dean who carried his six pack to the counter.

"What's the latest?" I decided to question walking over to Sam's side. He glanced up at me then a quick glance to Dean then back to me. I could feel his discomfort coming off of him, and I absolutely hated it, but I tried my hardest to not comment on it.
