Paisley

After a long drive of me continuously asking Dean what we were doing, why Sam was in Texas, what did he do to Sam, what's this fight about, and a million other questions, we finally reached the hotel that Sam and hopefully Eleanor were at. He kept reassuring me a million and one times that Eleanor was with Sam and everything was fine. Me and my worry wart of a mom brain couldn't grasp that fact until I laid my own two eyes on her.

"So why is Sam angry with you? What did you do to get him to lay off Benny? And why did it involve coming all the way to Texas?"

"Paisley, oh my god," Dean groaned as he opened the impala door to let me out so we could get to the room.

"I have obviously very much missed something. What did I miss?" I groaned back as I crossed my arms over my chest. He gave me an annoyed look as he shut the door and we made our way to the motel door. I chewed on my lip as I tried to piece the puzzle together. What was so important that Sam would tuck tail and run to Texas?

We didn't know anybody in Texas or anything for that matter.

"You briefly mentioned a girl!" I exclaimed suddenly remembering a conversation we had a while back when we started moving again. He held his hand up in my direction as a way to say "finally" before knocking on the door. I frowned suddenly realizing Sam never told me details about this girl or anything. "Sam never told me about a girl."

"I don't know, Pais, maybe he was ashamed he abandoned you and Elli for a girl and didn't wanna tell you," he shrugged as he knocked on the door again impatiently. I frowned as the door opened and I saw a very angry Sam. He started to close the door again but stopped no less realizing he had our kid so we had to come in.

"Who did you expect?" Dean dragged me in the room walking past Sam. I looked around and spotted Elli sitting on the bed with her eyes glued to the tv as she held a teddy bear tightly. Her eyes slightly adverted and spotted me.

"Mommy! Daddy!" she screamed as she scrambled off the bed and ran to me.

"Long drive," Sam noted.

"Well, we wouldn't have had to make it if you hadn't have hung up on me. And of course, you had our kid."

"I heard all I needed to hear," Sam noted dryly as he stood off to the side with his beer in hand. I let out a sigh as I scooped Eleanor up holding her tightly wincing slightly as I out stretched my shoulder. I really shouldn't have been picking her up on the chance of her ripping the stitches Dean did for me.

"No, you heard what you wanted to hear. I told you Benny wasn't killing. Hell, I watched him end the fangbanger that was!" Dean exclaimed trying to get through to his brother.

"How about Martin? How did he end that? And .. And Paisley?" Sam gestured in my direction seeing the obvious pain on my face. Dean glanced to me then back to Sam.

"If it wasn't for Benny, she'd be dead right now. Martin was an act of self defense. Son of a bitch didn't give Benny a choice."

"Seriously, Dean? That's the story you're going with? The vampire was the real victim here? Benny is the reason she could have been dead!" Sam screamed at Dean and I let out a sigh putting Eleanor down.

"Go watch your cartoon, okay? I'll be there to see your new teddy in a minute," I gave her a small kiss on the top of her head. She looked from me to her daddy and uncle then back to me before running over to the bed. I looked back at the boys expectantly. "Sam, believe it or not, Benny was fortunately the reason I wasn't killed by Martin. Martin attacked me first."
