"Uh, Paisley!"
Sam scurried into the dining room with Dean and me with little legs following close behind him. He was pointing at her as he looked between the both of us.
"How did she do that?"
"Sam, buddy we weren't there," Dean deadpanned.
"I .. I just experienced? saw? the first time you brought her home and I was there. When I met her."
I looked to Dean.
"You never told him, did you?" I squinted my eyes softly.
"Momma," Eleanor shuffled up beside me patting my leg. I looked down at her as she looked up at me with wide blue eyes. "I seepy," she rubbed her eye with the palm of her hand as she gripped my thigh.
"Oh yeah?" I picked her up standing up as she nestled her head into my neck. I began patting her back as I walked into the living room leaving the boys alone and turned the tv down softly grabbing a blanket that was sprawled on the back of the couch. I laid it across her as I sat holding her close as I heard her softly sucking her thumb.
"Who's my pretty girl?"
"I'm your pwetty girl," she yawned curling up.
"And you're strong."
"I'm strong," she tucked the blanket under her chin.
"Who loves you?" I whispered kissing her head.
"Mommy and daddy love me," I watched her eyes shut as her little body let out some spasms. I hummed softly as I kissed the top of her head leaning over and laying her on the couch. I gently pushed her hair from her eyes and quietly got up heading back to the boys.
"What do you think it was?" I heard Sam question.
"Angel maybe?" Dean responded.
"Whatever it was had no interest in us. Well other than the seriously evil look it gave me before slamming the door in my face," I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Yeah, well I thought history was about to repeat itself that night, and I thought you were about to die running in there," Dean stressed as he finally opened the burger I brought him.
"Well do you remember what was going on at that time?" Sam looked between us.
"I was six months postpartum, Sam. I was out of the game and if he did help out with something he wouldn't bring it home. That was his rule after what our dads did," I shrugged.
"I wanna say Raphael was in the picture maybe? A lot has happened since then, Sam."
"Like Purgatory?" I crossed my arms over my chest as I looked at him expectantly. All of this happening didn't let me forget that he still had some explaining to do on what happened and how he disappeared. He may have thought he got away with it, but I know Dean Winchester.
"Exactly," he sighed then dropped his burger. "Wait," he pointed his finger at me with squinted eyes. "I know what you're doing, Paisley Lynn."
"I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about," I shrugged pulling his burger toward me by the wrapper. He gave me a hurt look as he watched the burger move toward mine and Sam's side of the table. I held back my smirk as I practically felt the sustained laughter coming from Sam.
"Didn't you just get done saying my rule is I don't bring home work?"
"And what just happened in our house?" I tilted my head giving more attitude than I intended. "You know, the house we don't have anymore because it's in ashes on the ground."
