(Avery's P.O.V) ~lunch time~
I couldn't take my eyes off of her. She was just too perfect. Her brown hair fell slightly in front of her face as she looked down. I could see I was making her nervous but I just couldn't keep my eyes off of her.
She slowly starting moving closer to Jake. I growled, my wolf whimpering inside of me at sight of her touching him.
'Why is she touching him?! Stop making her scared!' My wolf whimpered. His whimpers turned into anger causing me to growl again.
Her heart was racing and she tugged on his shirt. I stood up ready to kill Jake only for Nathan to stand up as well causing Jake to pull Keely closer to him.
'Avery!' Nathan yelled through our mind link. 'Calm the hell down before you do something you'll regret!'
'Jake get your fucking hands off of my mate before I rip your throat out!'
'Avery! I said calm down, the only person you are hurting right now is Keely.'
My heart ached at the thought of hurting my mate.
'I'm going to take Keely out of the room before something happens. Nathan you stay here and calm him down.' Jake said glaring at me as he stood up.
I watched Jake lead my mate away from me. My heart hurt at the sight of her leaving and my wolf whined as she tightened her grip on the back of his shirt.
"Avery? Are you okay now?" Nathan said breaking me away from my thoughts. "Umm..." I started holding back the tears gathering in my eyes, "yeah I'm fine now."
I heard her and Jake talking in the hallway. I heard my little mate ask Jake what she did wrong. My heart broke at the sound of her voice. She was terrified.
I turned to Nathan and he gave me a sympathetic look as he knew what I was thinking. "She will never love me, will she?"
"Don't say that, just listen. Can't you hear what she's saying to Jake?" said Nathan.
I listen to her voice again my heart breaking even more but still making me happy just to hear it.
"See Avery, she is asking what happened. She doesn't want to make you hate her. She can already feel the pull even if she doesn't know it."
