(Avery's POV)

"Okay."

It's like the heavens opened up. My wolf has fully returned to me. He's howling with joy. Keely said yes to a date! Wait, a date! I didn't plan anything. What should I do?!

I'm such an idiot. Ughhh.

"Umm... Avery, you okay? Hello?"

I snapped back to reality when I heard my mate. I looked at her and she had a nervous look on her face.

"Oh sorry, I was just thinking. Umm is there anything in particular you want to do tonight? I mean, of course I have a plan, but did you want to do something?" I asked with an apologetic look.

She smiled and laughed. Goodness, this girl is going to kill me.
She looked down at the ground and picked at her nails.

"I'm not sure, but as long as I get to know you then I'm good. Just keep keep it casual please, I'm a really awkward person," she replied with a nervous chuckle.

"Okay, then I'll pick you up tonight. I guess you can just wear something comfortable. I know you'll look great in anything you choose."

With that Keely and I said bye and I walked to my truck to go home.

When I got to the truck, Jake and Nathan were sitting in the bed with huge smirks in their face.

"So what's the plan Mr. Alpha?" says Nathan, jumping down from the bed.

"Yeah man, where you taking her tonight?" chimes in Jake.

"I don't know guys. What should I do? She said nothing fancy but what's 'nothing fancy'? This would be so much easier if she was a wolf. She would've been marked the first day I saw her."

The guys laughed and put their arms around my shoulders. "Well she's not a wolf so shucks buddy. Tough luck. My suggestion is take her to the park or something for an early dinner. Have a picnic or something."

Wow, that's actually a really good idea. "Nathan that's not too bad. Thanks man. What park should I take her to? Wait! I don't have her number or know where she lives."

I hear Jake laugh, "No worries man, fortunately for you, I have her number AND know where she lives. I'll give it to you at the pack house. Can we please go home now?"

With that, we get in the truck and go back to the house.

It's go time. I'm in front of Keely's house, walking to her front door. My heart is pounding out of my chest. I texted her that I'm here and walked to the door. Right before I knocked the door opened to reveal a cutely dressed Keely with a nervous smile on her face.

"Wow, you look really nice Keely."

Those were all the words I could muster up. Nice? She looked so much better than nice. She looked amazing. So cute and simple but her natural beauty shined through.

"Oh, um thank you Avery–" she starts but without thinking I cut her off.

"I mean you look amazing, not nice. Like beautiful. More than just nice."

She laughed and began to look more at ease.

"It's okay Avery, I got what you meant. Should we head out then?"

"Yes, lets go!"

We drove in a comfortable silence. I wanted to say something but I wasn't sure what to say and I didn't want to risk making the comfortable silence awkward. Thankfully, Keely was the first to speak.
