Chapter Ten

(Keely's P.O.V)

I made my way to the movie theaters and saw Kai waiting for me. He smiled and waved as he noticed me walking towards him. "Hi Kai!" I jumped up and waved. "Hey Keely" he said back. "So what movie are we're going to watch?" I asked looking at all the movie poster set on display. "Um it's between Hotel Transylvania 2 and The Visit. Which one do you want to watch?" He said pointing to the movie times. "Um I don't know, I love scary movies but then again I'm a killer for animated kids movies *cough* Disney * cough*" I said while Kai erupted in a fit of laughter. "I get you I have the same problems. I love scary movies but animated is still the way to go *cough* Pixar*cough* " he said with a sly cough as well. "This is gonna be a hard decision" I said laughing.

We decided on Hotel Transylvania 2 because The Visit was sold out so we got our tickets and headed to get popcorn. We got our food and drinks and Kai being the nicest person ever paid for it. I held the popcorn and Kai held the drinks and we decided to sit down in the back corner of the theater. There was only three other people in the theater because Hotel Transylvania is kind of old so everyone saw when it was first in the theaters.

"So how have you been?" I asked taking a sip of my drink. "Good I aced my Biology test the other day. How are you?" he asked. "Good job on your test, yeah I'm doing good" I said. It was getting a little awkward so I was trying to think of something to say. Before I could say something he beat me to it. "I heard that Avery asked you out," Kai said with a wavering voice. "Um yeah he did, but I didn't really say yes. I kinda of ran out of the cafeteria when he did." Kai burst out laughing. He was clutching his stomach and holding on to the chair in front of him for help. Good thing it was only the previews. "What? Stop laughing at me!" I whined with a pout on my face. "Stop Kai!" I started hitting and shaking him but that only made him laugh more. "You rejected Avery? The senior Avery?! I love you so much Keely!" He choked out still laughing. "Good job!" He said finally starting to calm down. "What was so funny?!" I slapped the back of his head. "You rejected him, no one rejects him. If he wants something he gets it. Your pretty cool Keely!" He said finally sitting back in his seat.

"What is he like a player or something?" I asked. I didn't want him to be a player. "No not really he just always gets what he wants. Everyone loves him. The girls want to date him, the boys want to be him" he said just as the movie started. "Oh ok" I said and turned my attention to the screen.

The movie ended so Kai and I went out to the lobby. We were talking about how much we loved the movie when a little girl spilled soda on me. I didn't see her coming all I felt was my hoodie and shirt become wet. The little girl was on the ground, I guess she tripped. I helped her up but she started crying. "Aww it's okay, here I'll get you another one" I said trying to comfort her. "Trinity! Oh I'm so sorry. Oh my goodness look at this mess!" A lady said grabbing the little girl which I guess is named Trinity. "No it's fine, I could get you another one if you'd like?" I asked the lady. "Oh no I could never ask you to do that" Trinity's mom said handing me a few napkins," I'm so sorry again." I could see Kai cleaning up the mess on the ground and Trinity still crying. "No it's fine" I said and with that she walked away.

"Hey Kai I'm going to get cleaned up," I said finally looking at my soda soaked hoodie. "Ok I'll wait when I'm done" he said and I walked away. 

Once I got to the bathroom I took off my hoodie. More damage was done then I realized. My white tank top was stained with Coke and my hoodie was drenched. How am I suppose to go out in public like this. You could see my bra too! Ugh!!

"Hey Keely, you okay?" I heard Kai's voice echo through the empty bathroom. I guess I should just face the music. I walked out of the bathroom and I saw Kai trying to hold in his laugh. Which he failed at. He dropped to the ground holding his stomach, tears on the verge of falling from his eyes. "Is it that bad?" I asked. "No you look fine, here-" he said taking off his hoodie,"you can wear my jacket." He handed me the jacket and I quickly put it on. It was a little baggy on my but it was better than a soda stained tank top. "Aww you look so cute!" Kai said pinching my cheeks. I felt my self blushing and when Kai saw my blush he blushed as well. Aww he is so cute when he blushes!
"Stop Kai", I said pouting my lip. "You know what, I'll just put my shirt back on." He looked at me and smirked. "Will you Keely? Will you really?" Dang he got me. "No" I said with my head down," No I won't. Let's just get out of here."
We walked out of the theaters and just wandered around until I got picked up. We said bye and I went home still wrapped in Kai's warm jacket.

(I'm so sorry I forgot to write about Sunday. Long story short they met up on Sunday and then the guys had to leave because of pack business. Keely brushed it off and just went home. Comment if you want me to write the part in.)

(Avery's P.O.V)

It's Monday now and I can't wait to see Keely. I am currently waiting by my truck in the parking lot. I was gonna go wait by her locker but I didn't want to freak her out. She is still a little wary and cautious around me which I don't understand but I'll do anything for her. I was thinking of doing the casual bump into each other move. I would see her pull into school and then casually 'bump' into her and strike up a conversation. It's dumb I know but what else am I supposed to do?

School starts in ten minutes. I was staring to think she wasn't gonna show but I smell her scent. There is something different about it though. She smells like... like... like a boy. She smells like that stupid sophomore!

My wolf is going crazy. This is too much. She is always with that sophomore or Jake. Like what the hell? Where is she? I have to find her.

I saw her walking up the school steps. My legs began to move before my brain could realize what was happening. Within seconds I was beside her. I grabbed her wrist and she turned around with a loud gasp. "A-Avery! Oh you scared me" she said placing her hand on her chest. "Do you need something?" Hah do I need something? Um yeah of course I need something. I need you to stop hanging out with other guys. "Why do you smell like that sophomore? Please answer me!" I asked. My voice was wavering due to my anger. Her eyes widened with realization but then scrunched up with confusion. "Smell? What do you mean smell?" She asked. She yanked her hand out of my grasp and took a step back. "I just mean you smell like a boy. Like boy deodorant." I quickly lied. Anger was resident in her eyes. "It's none of your business Avery. I gotta get to class." She walked away from me and disappeared around the corner.

It was lunch time now and today Keely was going to sit with us. I hope she doesn't smell like boy anymore. The only boy she should smell like is me.
I got my lunch and sat down at the table with Nathan. Jake and Keely walked in a few minutes later and got their food. I swear this is becoming routine, only Jake came to the table and Keely walked to the table with the freaking sophomore.

"Hey man why is Keely at that table?" I asked Jake before he could even sit down. "Relax she is just returning something to the boy. Leave the poor guy alone." Jake chucked back and place his food tray down.

I looked up at Keely and saw her take her sweater off. I didn't think anything of it until she gave it to the fricken sophomore!

'That must have been why she smelt like him. She was wearing his jacket!' my wolf spoke. 'How did she even get his jacket in the first place?' I yelled back. 'How should I know man. You're such a stupid human. Why did I get stuck with such a stupid body?' Stupid human!? 'Did you just call me a stupid human! I'm not the stupid one! You are! Why did I get stuck with such a stupid mutt?! Ugh you frustrate me so much sometimes. I'm sorry you're not a mutt.' I cut the mind link off with that I returned my gaze to Keely. She was walking to the table now without the jacket. The sophomores scent wasn't as strong now. She sat down next to Jake and said hi to Nathan.

"Hi Keely," I said, my eyes reaching her gaze. She cleared her throat and looked down at her plate. "Hi" she said clearly still bothered about what happened this morning.

Lunch went on with Keely ignoring me. The end of lunch came and we all went to class.
