My Little Human Mate

Chapter Seven

(Keely's P.O.V)

"So... who was that guy you were talking to?" Jake asked as we walked to first period.

"Oh, um, that was Kai. He is in my P.E class." I replied feeling a small blush creep up on my face.

"But he's not a senior so why is he in your class?"

"Um..." I started getting nervous," because I'm a sophomore." By the time I finished my sentence my voice became a quiet mumble. I didn't want him finding out but I knew he would eventually.

"Holy mother of... you're a sophomore?! Wait then why are you in senior classes? Oh my God Keely, why didn't you tell me?!" he was jumping up and down now rambling on with questions and waving his hands in the air. Everybody was looking at us now trying to figure out what was happening.

"Um Jake..." I tried getting his attention and calm him down but it took a little while. I didn't know being a sophomore was so... surprising?

"Jake, can you please stop, people are staring." I was tugging on his arm now and he finally calmed down. "Thank you."

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked again as we walked into class.

"I'm sorry," I started,"I just didn't know how, I wanted to keep a low profile." I replied slipping down into my seat.

"It's okay but I don't think keeping a low profile will work out for you." he said chuckling and sliding into the seat next to me.

"Why is that?" I asked him wondering why I wouldn't be able to keep a low profile.

"Oh you'll see. Just wait." Jake had a smirk on his face now but before I could say anything else the bell rang and the teacher started class.

(Avery's P.O.V)

I woke up this morning with a major headache. I was so tired and I had dark bags under my eyes. Even though I felt and looked like a zombie, my wolf was having the time of its life. Why is he so happy?! 'Because I got to see mate last night!' my wolf Logan said. 'Oh, that's co- wait what! You went to see our mate? How?' I yelled at him, I can't believe he did that. 'I went to our mates dream. She was so beautiful, she is so beautiful. We are so lucky... so you better make up with her so she is not scared of us!!!' Woah, that escalated quickly. 'I'm sorry but it's not only my fault you were the one that wanted to kill Jake! You were the one that was losing control!' I yelled back. 'Well I'm allowed to. I'm the wolf, you're the human!' I'm so over this, I got out if bed and blocked Logan from saying anything else and started getting ready for school.

I got to school right before the bell rang. I couldn't focus on anything other than my mate.

I walked into class and saw Nathan sitting down in the back. He waved and I gave him a small nod.

"Hey Avery, you okay? You don't look to good." He started as I sat in the seat next to him. "Yeah I'm fine. I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Is this about Keely?" He asked with a worried look on his face.

"Uh kinda, Logan went into Keely's dream last night. I don't know what he did but what ever it was, it has him bouncing off the walls."

Nathan gave me a sympathetic look but ended up laughing a little. What a friend he is. The late bell rang and the teacher walked in starting class.

Class went by quickly and soon enough it was lunch time which meant time to see mate.

I walked to the cafeteria with Nathan. We stacked our plates with food and went to our table and waited for Jake, well Nathan waited. I pacing around asking Nathan where Keely was, I was getting really impatient.
