Will's secretary looked up when a handsome man approached her desk but he wasn't looking at her, he was looking at Tanner.
"good day Miss, I'm here to see Tanner over there, is that ok?" Chit asked.
"yes, of course, Tanner, there's someone to see you" she called out but Tanner already knew because he'd been waiting for Chit to arrive.
Chit grabbed a chair and went to sit in front of the desk where Tanner was working then he spoke,
"what's up Tanner, did you find something"
"I did boss but first I have to read you in, it's about Will's sister Suki and Will doesn't know about it, hell' Suki doesn't even know that I know, it was her friend who told me" Tanner talked quietly so that Will's secretary couldn't hear
"ok, I'm all ears" Chit said.
"some kid has been harassing her, a junior in college and she didn't tell Will because she didn't want to worry him, apparently the guy wouldn't take no for an answer, anyway there was a teddy bear in Will's spare room, the room where Suki sleeps when she stays over at his place and in the pocket was a valentines confession.
I wanted to help low key so I asked our guy at the DSI to run it and the bear for prints and he found partials"
"yeah, ok but where is this heading Tanner?"
"the image of Will and I that you sent to him, he got partials from that too and the computer matched all the partials and managed to build up the full print, he even got a name and was just about to tell me when my phone died"
"shiyaa, so Will was never the target, it was always Suki and the guy who's stalking her must think Will's her boyfriend"
"yep and I guess the guy thinks that Will is cheating on her with me, that's why he's been targeting him, I took a photo of the message before I gave it to our contact but I can't show you because of my battery but it's concerning" Tanner said.
"shiyaa Tanner, I keep telling you to have a back up battery on you" Chit said before continuing,
"ok, I'll call our man and then we'll go in and talk to Will, you say he doesn't know about any of this?"
"no, he's going to be so pissed" Tanner said
"well that's understandable"
Chit called their elusive contact at the DSI and explained that Tanner's phone had died and that he had been read in, all he wanted was a name.
"yeah, I figured something like that had happened, I knew one of you would call back sooner rather than later, ok so as I was saying to Tanner, the computer paired the partials and constructed the full print and matched it to a guy called Justin Thongthattanut"
"ok, do you have anything else for me?" Chit asked.
"who am I bro? ... I had a friend from another department find me his address, he's a student and is currently living in a dorm on xxxx campus"
"great and you know the letter that Tanner gave you, can you take a photo of it and send it to me? he can't access his images just yet" Chit asked
"sure, coming right up"
Chit ended the call and within minutes he received a text, when he opened the image he read the message ...
