Meredith let Christopher help her make cupcakes and cookies for the station. She was nervous about the dinner, but she was almost certain having Christopher there would make everything easier. She believed that Christopher most likely knew everyone at the station, at least a little bit, so he'd make everything a little easier.
The day before, Eddie had seen a shirt in Meredith's hamper of clean clothes she had yet to put away. The shirt had a picture of her father on it; a picture from years ago. Eddie told Meredith to wear the shirt to the dinner, to see if any of the team could recognize that she was Johnny Depp's daughter. He hadn't told anyone, he would just tell them her name was Meredith, but she was fine with Eddie telling them. He just wanted them to figure it out themselves, and this was his idea on how they would.

"You ready, Chris?" Meredith asked, after making sure she had everything she needed.
"Yes! Let's go!" He exclaimed, and she laughed.
Meredith carried the desserts to her car and placed them in the backseat. She allowed Christopher to sit in the front seat, even though he wasn't always supposed to. It didn't take long for them to get to the station, and when they arrived, Eddie was waiting outside for them.
"You ready to go in?" Eddie asked, and Meredith nodded.
"As long as there's good food, I'm ready." She replied, making Eddie laugh.
Eddie grabbed the cupcakes, and Meredith grabbed the cookies. Christopher stayed by her side, and Eddie was in front of them to get the door. When Eddie opened the door, Christopher headed inside to greet everyone.
"You must be Meredith." A woman said, as she walked over to them.
"You can call me Mery, Christopher and Eddie do." She replied, making the woman smile.
"Henrietta, but call me Hen," The woman commented,"and I'll take those." She added, as she grabbed the container of cookies.
"Well, come meet everyone else." Eddie said, as he motioned for her to follow him.
Eddie walked her over to the others that were watching their captain cook.
"Everyone meet Meredith," Eddie announced, as he placed the cupcakes on the counter,"Meredith meet everyone."
"Captain Bobby Nash," The man stuck out his hand,"Eddie's told us about you. I've heard you're a good babysitter with Christopher." He said, making her smile.
"He's a good kid." She replied, giving him a smile.
"Oh, meet everyone else," He motioned to the others,"Chimney, Athena, Maddie, Hen's wife Karen, their son Denny, and Buck. Athena's kids weren't able to come today."
"Nice to meet you all!" She said happily, and they all gave her smiles.
"I like your shirt," Chimney commented,"I just watched that movie again the other night."
"I've seen it quite a few times, too." She replied, giving a small shrug.
"Y'know, looking at your shirt, and looking at you...you look kinda like him." He said, making her laugh.
"Yeah?" She questioned rhetorically,"How do you figure?"
"Well, you have the same facial features," He shrugged,"and I believe he had a daughter named Meredith, so..." He trailed off, and she raised an eyebrow.
"Are you saying...?" Hen looked at her with wide eyes,"You're Meredith Depp? Like, the oldest daughter of Johnny Depp?" She questioned, causing Eddie to laugh.
"I thought it would've taken you guys longer to guess." He commented, making his friend smirk.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Meredith Depp." She said, and the others stared at her stunned.
"I, uh, I don't recognize the movie that picture is supposed to be from." Buck voiced, giving an awkward smile.
"Do you know who Johnny Depp is?" Chimney asked, and Buck quickly nodded.
"Of course, but not that movie." Buck replied, causing Meredith to smile.
"It's Cry Baby," She said,"it's kind of old, I guess. It's from the nineties."
"How long until food?" Eddie asked, causing Bobby to turn towards him.
"It'll be a while," He replied,"Athena brought fruit, if you want something to snack on."
Athena went to the refrigerator and grabbed a tray of fruits from the shelf. There was cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes, and pineapple. When Meredith reached forward to grab a grape, Eddie quickly smacked her hand. It wasn't hard, but it stopped her.
"What the hell?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"You can't eat grapes or pineapple." He said, making her frown.
"Why? Is she allergic?" Buck asked, causing Eddie to shake his head.
"No, I'm pregnant," She replied,"and I guess these fruits are bad for the baby."
"Oh? Where's the baby daddy?" Chimney asked, causing Maddie to smack his arm.
"You don't just ask that!" She scolded, but Meredith just smiled.
"It's fine," She replied,"and he's gone. He wants nothing to do with me or the baby. I think he only slept with me because of who my dad is. He signed an NDA, so he can't tell anyone anything. Dad got a lawyer, so the guy can't ask for the baby after he signed over any rights. Long story short, I'm going to be a single mom."
"She'll be a single mom," Eddie shrugged,"but she's practically my sister at this point, so she'll always have me." He said, making her smile.
"Well, now you've got all of us. Welcome to the family, Meredith." Bobby stated, as the others nodded and smiled in agreement.
"So, you're famous?" Buck asked,"Like, I swore I seen you before, but I thought it was a coincidence." He said, and she laughed.
"I guess you could say I am," She shrugged,"but I try to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible." She answered.
Meredith liked talking to the team. They were nice to her, and they didn't only like her for who she was related to. Honestly, she was glad that Eddie and the others had invited her to the dinner. She never really got to enjoy things like that, unless it was with her father or a minimal amount of other people...
