"I'm nervous, Eddie," She murmured,"What if it just doesn't turn out right? What if he thinks I'm not dressed pretty like all the other girls? What if--" Eddie stopped her rambling.

"Mery! Calm down!" He exclaimed, placing his hands on her shoulders,"He is a good guy. He really likes you, and he won't care how you're dressed, he likes you for you. I know everything will be perfect."

"Okay," She took a deep breath,"You're right. It's just my hormones making me a little crazy." She replied, making him smile.

"You're not acting crazy, it's a reasonable fear after what's happened before," Eddie said,"Now, go get ready. I'll wait out here for Buck."

"Thank you for being here, Eddie," Meredith murmured,"I know you'd rather be spending time with Chris."

"He's taken care of, so don't worry about it," He replied,"I told you I'd be here for you, and that means even for things like this."

Meredith simply smiled at him, before she headed to her room to get ready. The world still didn't know that Meredith was pregnant, and she wanted to keep it that way for a little bit longer. She didn't want anyone to think bad things about her, or have her pregnancy put negativity towards her father. She wanted to wait until the right time for people to find out.

"Eddie," Buck greeted, as the man opened the door,"I didn't know you'd be here."

"She wanted my help with some things," Eddie replied,"Come on in, she should be ready any minute."

"Was she as nervous as I am?" Buck asked, as he gave Eddie a nervous smile.

"Yeah," Eddie answered,"maybe more," He sighed,"Buck, I swear to God if you're just getting with her to get close to her father, or you plan to hurt her, I'll kick your ass."

"Eddie, it's not like that. I really like her, and honestly, I thought she was beautiful the moment I seen her in the station, before I even knew who she was." Buck replied, and Eddie smiled.

"She's like a sister to me, Buck. I can't have her get her." Eddie commented, making Buck give Eddie a nod.

"I promise, I'll never hurt her." Buck answered, causing Eddie to nod slightly.

Before the two could talk anymore to each other, Meredith came walking out of her room. She was wearing a loose fit shirt that would keep her growing belly hidden from view, and the only people who knew about the baby would know what she was hiding under her shirt. Everyone else wouldn't know, and they could mind their own business.

"Have fun, guys," Eddie said,"Don't do anything I wouldn't do."

"I'm all ready pregnant, Eddie, I doubt anything else could even come close to that." Meredith replied, making both men laugh.

Meredith and Buck headed out to Buck's car, and Buck headed to the restaurant he had picked for them to eat at before their movie. He had done some research to find the perfect movie for them to see, and he had chosen 12 Strong, since Meredith was more of an action movie fan over many other types of movies. His second choice was Beautiful Boy though, since Meredith was a fan on of one of the actors in the movie.

"Chinese?" Meredith asked, as they pulled into the parking lot,"It's like you read my mind. I've been craving Chinese all day." She commented, causing him to chuckle.

"I hoped so," He replied,"I know you said you really liked Chinese, but that didn't mean you wanted it today, so I was just hoping I picked the right place."

When they went inside, a young waitress came over and lead them to a table. She was pretty sure the girl recognized her, but she looked like she was too nervous to say anything. Meredith didn't say anything though, since she wanted to be treated like a normal person, considering most of the time when she was recognized, she was treated less like a normal person, and more like a celebrity.

"I think she recognized you." Buck commented, after the girl walked away.

The Chinese restaurant was a buffet, but the waitresses had to bring drinks to the table. Once they had their drinks, Buck and Meredith headed over to the buffet to get the food they wanted. They both had two plates each full of food, and after eating their food, they went back for dessert. Honestly, this was one of the best dates Meredith had been on, and they had only gotten food so far.

"Ready to go see the movie?" Buck asked, and Meredith nodded.

"More than ready." She replied, giving him a smile.

Buck then drove them to the theater he had pre-purchased tickets for. While they were waiting for the movie to start, the two went around playing some of the arcade games that were in the lobby. Buck had also won Meredith a Miles Morales from the claw machine, which was a toy for the Spider Man: Into the Spiderverse. Meredith would've watched that, too, but she was supposed to be bringing Chris to see it next week. She would need to bring Buck though, so he could win Chris a toy for the movie from the claw machine.

Right before the movie started, Buck ordered an ICEE for him and Meredith to share, as well as some popcorn. Meredith wasn't a big fan of popcorn before, but once she got pregnant, she started to love the taste of the buttery popcorn, specifically from movie theaters. Matter of fact, she liked certain theaters over others, simply because some had better popcorn.

Meredith enjoyed the movie Buck had picked, and she really just enjoyed the date itself. Buck was fun to be around, and he was a really nice person. She was glad she had went out with him, and she was happy that she had given him a chance. If the first date was any point to the future, she could see herself being happy with Buck, and actually being able to trust him...
