"Why did you let me eat all of that?" I whined while getting ready for school.

"Mom should've known you wouldn't be able to handle that much junk food," Rory murmured. I scoffed. I could handle it...it might have just been a little too much. After the movie night, I had ended up throwing up on the bathroom while Lorelai held my hair back. Since there wasn't another bed, I had slept on the couch. It wasn't the best sleep I had ever had, but it was suffice.

"Well, we'll build her up to that level," Lorelai sighed. "Ok, it's time to go!"

"Okay." I grabbed my backpack and headed for the door. "I'm ready."

"Well, first, we're going to get breakfast at Luke. Then, school. Then, bus stop. Then, finally, work. Then I do it again, but backwards," Lorelai huffed. "The challenges of motherhood!"

I laughed as Rory closed the door behind us.

"Blueberry pancakes and...tea," I ordered. Lorelai, Rory, and Luke looked to me.

"Are you sure she's your daughter?" Luke asked Lorelai as Rory's mouth dropped.

"What's wrong with tea?" I asked.

"Nothing! In fact, I like you even more because you're not a coffee addict," he said, clearly meaning Lorelai and Rory.

"Aren't you supposed to be getting our orders?" Lorelai asked. "Go or I'll talk to your advisor!" She threw a napkin at him and he quickly retreated.

"Is there a problem with tea?"

"Of course not, Honey! You're just different!" Lorelai said, putting her hand on my shoulder.

"It's very wrong," Rory quickly added.

"Very, very wrong," Lorelai agreed. "But I guess you were raised by my parents, so..."

"Pancakes for Lucy and your stuff will come soon," Luke announced, placing the plate in front of me.

"Ugh," Lorelai scoffed. "He's favoring her!"

"That's not fair!" Rory added.

"Complain one more time and I'm cutting off your coffee. Not just that, but anything caffeinated!" Luke threatened.

The girls froze and looked at each other.

"Oh lord, don't take away our source of happiness," Rory teased. Luke didn't even reply, just walked away.

My phone began to ring. Who would call me.

Lorelai pointed to the "no cell phones" sign. I ignored her.

"Hello?"

"Rory! How are you?" Grandma yelled.

"I'm fine! Why are you yelling?" I asked as Lorelai got Luke's attention. She pointed to me, but Luke just shrugged her off.

"Oh, I didn't notice! Anyway, I just wanted to know if you could visit us—all three of you can come!"

"Grandma, I don't know if we can come today. Rory and I have school!" I got Rory's attention and she went wide eyed. "Do you want to talk to Mom?"

"Oh," she said, disappointedly. "That's all right. Just call me after school! Good luck!"

I sighed after she hung up. "Mom!"

"What?" Lorelai asked, stuffing her face with the newly arrived food.

"Grandma called and asked if the three of us could visit her!"
