If you were to ask me how I'd thought my first year at Hogwarts would go at the start of the term, I would be completely off the mark. After, I would say, a most traumatizing experience last night, Hermione and I were able to get Ron into the infirmary and he was alright by the next morning. Hermione and I were able to tell Professor Dumbledore what had happened, and he and the other professors went and found Harry and brought him straight to the infirmary alongside Ron.Madam Pomfrey told us it'll be a while before Harry comes around, he got knocked out as well while he was down there with Professor Quirrell. Turns out Snape had suspicion as to what he was doing. After we found out what had happened I, by myself, tracked down Professor Snape.
"Professor?" I ask him as he walks down one of the corridors in the castle. He turns sharply to me but doesn't answer. "Um... I want to apologize professor. We all thought that you were trying to bring Volde-, you-know-who back and we were wrong. I'm sorry we doubted you. I don't believe that you would do anything to harm Harry and I'm sorry for suspecting that you would."
He looks at me for a long time and with a short smile, he nods at me and walks away with his majestic robe flowing in the back of him.
"I really love your robe by the way! Very flowy!" I yell after him. He doesn't respond. I head back over to the stairs near the Great Hall where Ron and Hermione are as well. "So how are you feeling Ronald?" I ask him as I give him and Mione a hug. "Still a bit sore, but better, nonetheless. Pomfrey and Dumbledore reckon Harry will be up soon." "Thank Godrick he's okay. All night I was worried about him." Ron and Hermione give me knowing looks. "And... I- I was worried about you too Ron. Jeez." We all laugh amongst ourselves before we hear footsteps below us. Harry comes to us, and we turn to look at him.
"Alright there Ron?" harry asks him. "Alright. You?" He asks back. "Alright. Hermione?" "Never better." "Good. And you Arabella?" I smile widely at him. "Perfect." I tell him.

It's our final dinner this year and Slytherin won the house cup. Thanks to us of course, we were the main cause as to why Gryffindor lost so many points this year to be in fourth, but thankfully no one in our house ragged on us for it. They were just happy Harry and Ron were okay. We hear glass dinging and look over to McGonagall and Dumbledore at the teacher's table.
Dumbledore gets up from his chair and says, "Another year gone. And now, as I understand it. The house cup needs awarding, and the points stand thus, in fourth place with Gryffindor with 312 points. Third place, Hufflepuff, with 352 points. In second place, Ravenclaw with 426 points. And in first place, with 522 Slytherin house."
We all hear Slytherin cheer as loud as they can including my brother and while I'm sad that we lost it's nice to see Draco with a smile on his face.
"Yes, yes. Well done, Slytherin. Well done, Slytherin. However, recent events must be taken into account, and I have a few last-minute points to award. To Miss Hermione Granger for the cool use of intellect when others were in grave peril fifty points." "Whoo!!! That's my best friend!" I yell out and reach over the table to shake her shoulders as the rest of Gryffindor cheers for her.
"Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years... fifty points." "Weasley!!!" Everyone yells out in support for him as I give him a side hug next to me. "Third, to Miss Arabella Malfoy." Me? What? I widen my eyes in shock. "For her relentless kindness to others, and her ability to show everyone that it does not matter where you come from, that anyone has the ability to show bravery and compassion to those that need it... fifty points." Oh my god. I start to cry as Hermione gives me a big hug across the table and everyone at the Gryffindor table cheers for me "Malfoy! Whoo!!"
"And fourth... to Mr. Harry Potter for pure nerve and outstanding courage I award Gryffindor House sixty points." The loudness of Gryffindor's gets as loud as it has been all year and we all cheer for Harry. "Whooo!!! Potter!!!"
Hermione widens her eyes and whispers over to use. "We're tied with Slytherin!" everyone around us at the table widens their eyes and smile in anticipation. "And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award ten points to Neville Longbottom." We all scream as loud as we can in cheer for Neville while he sits at his seat mouth open, shocked as can be. "Whooooo! Neville!" I scream.
"Assuming that my calculations are correct I believe that a change in decoration is in order." Dumbledore puts his hands in the air, claps them together and puts his hands palms outward and the flags change from the Slytherin snake to the Gryffindor lion. We won! We actually won! "Gryffindor wins the house cup."
Everyone gets up from the table and we all cheer and along with the other houses, besides Slytherin, we all throw our caps in the year, signifying the end of the term. Everyone from our house crowds around my friends and I and shake our hands in congratulations for winning them the house cup. I guess being a rebel gets you ahead in life, not just in quidditch. I look over and see my brother and his friends slam their hats down on the table in anger. I frown and yell over to Ron, "I'll be right back." I run over to the Slytherin table and go to where Draco is at. "Draco." I say to him. He and his friends turn around and he sneers at me, "What do you want? Come to gloat to us? Hmph. Don't bother." "No, you imbecile." I say to him. I walk over to him and give him a crushing hug which takes him by surprise, yet again, but he returns it none the less. "This doesn't change anything Arabella." "I know loser. But I still love you. I'm sorry if I didn't say it enough to you."
Draco pulls away from our hug, looks at me in shock and turns back to his table. Alright, baby steps. I run back to the Gryffindor table and jump and cheer along with my friends.

"Come on now. Hurry up. You'll be late. Train's leaving. Go on, go on." We hear Hagrid say to all the students. I give one of the train attendants my cat and Harry gives him his owl. We all head up to the train and wave bye to Hagrid. "Come on Harry." Hermione says to him. "One minute." he hastily replies. He goes over to Hagrid leaving us three to wait for him. After a minute or so, he comes back with a photobook in his hand.
"Feels strange to be going home, doesn't it?" I ask Harry as he approaches us. "I'm not going home, not really." He looks over at Hagrid and then the rest of us do. We all wave bye once more to him as we all board the train leaving home. But only for a short while, we will be back soon.
And I'm excited for what the next year has in store for us then.
