While yes, I do miss mum and even Draco, it's been nice being around a family that seems to actually care about each other. Hermione, out of the kindness of her heart, asked her parents before the end of second year if I could stay with them the whole summer. I was gob smacked when Hemione informed me that I would be going home with her.
It's been nice having a sister for a summer. I've learned so much about the Muggle world and her and her parents took us on so many adventures. Her parents took us on a trip to Paris for a week because a new "theme park" as the muffled call it, opened, called Disneyland Paris. And wow. Just wow. I've never seen anything like it before. There were so many rides everywhere and they even had their own castle in the center of the park, we spent the whole day there and Hemione gave, me a whole crash course lesson on all the characters that we saw. This summer with her was one of the best I'd ever had in my life. I absolutely adore her parents, many nights her parents tell us stories of their many patients as dentists including telling us a story how one of Mr Grangers patients at the dentistry bit him as he was performing an exam on him. I laughed so hard at the story milk came out of my nose which made the whole table, including me, laugh even harder.
When Hermione and I weren't on vacations with her family we spent the whole summer studying for our next subjects this coming up term. McGonagall sent us our books and supplies list, along with a special request from her that both Hermione and I must see her in her office before the term starts up this year.
In our letters was also a notice stating how this year is going to be our first visit to Hogsmead supervised, of course, and we need to have our parent or guardians sign it. I sent the permission slip to my mother along with a letter hoping it reaches to her before my father can intercept it.
Speaking of letters, Hermione and I constantly sent out letters to all of our friends, mainly Harry and Ron of course. Harry and I both came to terms with that we have a lot of things that we need to discuss in person and not in letter form. Of course, this is pertaining to the fact that Harry must know that I've liked him for the past two years. He probably just wants to let me down gently, he's such a gentleman like that. Awkward, but still a gentleman, nonetheless.

Hermione's parents dropped us off at the Leaky Cauldron to meet up with the Weasleys' who've also been on such an adventure of their own. They went to Egypt and saw the pyramids' there. I was so jealous of Ron when he sent Mione, and I pictures of Nefertari's tomb. Damn him. He better have brought me back a souvenir or else I'm going to be pissed. This year Hermione brought her cat Crookshanks with her and so far, it's been nonstop arguing between the two about how Ron is so sure her cat is going to try and kill Scabbers.
I sit on one of the main tables with meet feet up on it, watching in amusement my two best friends argue back and forth.
"I'm warning you, Hermione. Keep that bloody beast of yours away from Scabbers, or I'll turn it into a tea cozy!" "It's a cat, Ronald. What do you expect? It's in his nature." "A cat? Is that what they told you? Looks like a pig with hair, if you ask me." "That's rich, coming from the owner of that smelly old shoe brush!" I chuckle at them and look behind them and see the fourth member of our quartet, Harry, coming down the staircase behind them also smiling at their bickering. I sit up straight and clear my throat. "Harry!" They both turn around and are just as shocked as i am. "Harry!" they both say as we all smile at him.
"Egypt-- what's it like?" Harry asks Ron as Ron shows us the Daily Prophets paper featuring his family posing in front of the pyramids. "Brilliant! Loads of old stuff, like mummies, tombs. Even Scabbers enjoyed himself." He gestures to his rat in his hand. "You know the Egyptians used to worship cats." Hermione says next to me holding up Crookshanks. "Yea, along with the dung beetle." I purse my lips together and laugh at what he says, but not without kicking him under the table. "OW! Blimey Arabella. Can you ever be on my side, just once?" "Nope, sorry Ronald." I put my head on Hermione's shoulder and pet her cat. "She's my sister now, and besides its funny to see you this upset."
