While my brother was indeed hurt, he was milking it like no one else I've ever seen. I sit over near him and his friends while he wails in pain."Draco, calm down. You're literally fine. Stop laying it on so damn thick." I roll my eyes at his continuous moaning. "Arabella, do you not understand I literally could have died? And it's all Potters fault as well. Yet another reason why you shouldn't be friends with him. He's a complete nutter." I lean over his bed pan and hit him in the arm. "Liar. I know you that you got distracted and accidentally hit one of the pillars down below. Harry didn't do anything to you."
I raise my eyebrows at him and shake his hair before walking over to where Harry, who actually has a problem, is lying on another bed pan with our friends and other Gryffindors surrounding him.
"How's our champion doing?" I ask the gang as I walk up to Harry and give him a dramatic smack of a kiss on his head. "That's it. I'm calling it. Time?" I look down at him only to see him playfully rolling his eyes at me before pinching my sides with his good arm. Everyone chuckles around us and I look over to see Hermione give me a mother like glare. You know the one.
"Out of my way! Out of my way!" We hear Madam Pomfrey yelling out before moving Colin and Fred out of her way. "Should have been brought straight to me. I can mend bones in a heartbeat, but growing them back?" "You will be able to, won't you?" Hermione asks. "Oh, I'll be able to, certainly, but it will be painful." She directs over to Harry, "You're in for a rough night, Potter. Regrowing bones is a nasty business." She pours him a potion and hands it to him. He starts to drink it but immediately spits it out.
"Well, what did you expect, Pumpkin juice?!" She rolls her eyes at Harry before serving him another glass of the regrowing potion. "You guys should probably get back to the common room before it gets too late." He says to all of us. One at a time, everyone says their goodbyes to harry before it's just him and I left in the infirmary.
"Is this going to be a yearly thing now Harry? Being in the hospital wing because of some sort of freak accident?" I tease at him. Before he has a chance to respond I lean over to him and peck him on the cheek. I pull away and see that his glasses have fogged up along with his face going pink. I start to walk away but not before yelling over my shoulder. "My hero you always are Harry Potter."
——————-
Back in the girl's dormitory in Gryffindor house, all the girls, including Hermione, have all gone to bed, leaving me awake at my desk. I glance over at the diary that haunts my dreams as of late. I pick it up and open it before writing.
Whatever it is that you made me do, don't do it again. I can't remember a single thing.
My dear, Arabella. I'm afraid you have no choice in the matter. Besides, it's time again.
No, wait, time for what? Please, why are you making me do this?
All in due time, just know what you are doing is for the sake of the pure wizard kind.
Pure? What do you mean pure? Are you using me to hurt Muggle-borns? Please don't make me hurt anyone. I won't tell a soul about this diary or about you Tom.
Imperio.
And yet again, I fall to the imperious curse, no longer in control of my body and mind once more.
Harry's POV
After Dobby came by the hospital wing to continue warning me about being at Hogwarts, I hear commotion coming from the hallway increasing as it comes near the infirmary. I lie quickly on my bed pretending to be asleep when I hear Dumbledore. "There's been another attack." "I think this student has been petrified Madame Pomfrey." McGonagall whispers. Who's been petrified? It can't be my friends. "Perhaps he managed to take a picture of his attacker." Picture? God, it's Colin. He's been petrified. "What does this mean Albus?" I hear McGonagall asks him. "It means that our students are in grave danger." "What should I tell the staff?" "The truth. Tell them Hogwarts is no longer safe. It is as we feared, Minerva. The Chamber of Secrets has indeed been opened again." Again? This has happened before?
