Harry's POV

Yesterday, someone broke into the boy's common room and destroyed the whole room. Everything was ruined. Whoever it was, took Tom Riddle's diary. After a couple of days of writing in it Tom informs me about how Hagrid opened up the Chamber of Secrets fifty years ago and cause a young muggle girl to die. He was expelled that year.

Right now, I sit with the Gryffindor team going over our strategies for the match that's about to happen but notice Arabella isn't anywhere to be seen. This whole year she's been acting strange. She hasn't been her normal self and it's been worrying me, but Ron says that girls do these kinds of things sometimes when they get older. I miss her so much this year. I haven't been around to see her smile, her gorgeous smile. Yes, I've had a small, maybe not small, crush on her since last year. I miss being around her, but she hasn't been around to talk to me or Ron as of recent. her and Hermione got close again after she was in the hospital from the Polyjuice potion. I had asked Hermione many times to see if she can get Arabella to talk to me, but Hermione told me to give her time, so time I will give her. But today is quidditch match. She would never miss this. Not for anything.

"All right, listen up. We play our game, Hufflepuff doesn't stand a chance. We're stronger, quicker, and smarter. Harry, where's Malfoy? She never misses meetings." Wood asks me. "I don't know Wood." She shakes his head at me. "That is most disappointing behavior coming from our new Chaser. We might need to rethink her position on this team. Such a shame. She was good too. Real good." We all grab our broomsticks and leave our tent to head over to the field to start our game only to be stopped by McGonagall. "This match has been canceled." "They can't cancel Quidditch." "Silence, Wood. You and your teammates will go to Gryffindor Tower. Now." She commands us. "Potter." she says to me. "You and I will find Mr. Weasley and Miss Malfoy. There's something the three of you have to see."

McGonagall and I were able to find Ron in the Great Hall, but we couldn't find Arabella anywhere. The Professor sent a message to all the other teachers to be on the lookout for her in case she turns up. I'm worried. The professor leads Ron and I to the infirmary.

"I warn you. This could be a wee bit of a shock." She tells us, we look over and see Hermione in the bed frozen. No. She's been petrified too.

"Hermione..." Ron cries out to her. "She was found near the library... along with this." McGonagall grabs a hand mirror from beside the table and shows it to us. "Does it mean anything to either of you?" "No." we tell her. I lightly grasp onto Hermione's hand that's in the air, I'm assuming this was the one holding the mirror and hold onto her hand. Now what do we do?

——————-

"Could I have your attention please? Because of recent events, these new rules will be put into effect immediately: All students will return to their house common rooms by 6 every evening. All students will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher. No exceptions."

McGonagall tells the common room before rolling up her parchment. "I should tell you this. Unless the culprit behind these attacks is caught... it is likely the school will be closed." She leaves the common room leaving everyone in silence.

"we've got to talk to Hagrid, Ron. And we've got to find Arabella. I can't believe it's him, but if he did set the monster loose last time, he'll know how to get inside the Chamber of Secrets, and that's a start." Ron nods in agreement with me. "But you heard McGonagall. We're not allowed to leave the tower except for class." "I think it's time to get my dad's old cloak out again." I tell him.

——————

After Ron and I tried to talk to Hagrid in his hit about who opened the Chamber of Secrets we were stopped by Dumbledore and the minister of Magic coming to take him to Azkaban prison. We see Mr. Malfoy; Arabella's father try to intimidate Dumbledore about his ability on being a headmaster when there's been 3 attacks on Muggle borns in the school. But through the cloak Ron and I can clearly see the satisfaction that is on Mr. Malfoy's face. he knows something about this. I know he does. "Mr. Malfoy." I hear Dumbledore say, "I'm also afraid to inform you that we haven't been able to locate you daughter in the past 14 hours. We don't know where she's gone off to." I see a slight worry wash over Malfoy before he saunters over to Dumbledore. "You have lost Arabella? As much of a troublemaker my daughter is for befriending the Potter and Weasley boy, she is still my daughter. if you have not found her by tomorrow morning, the entire department of aurors will be at Hogwarts first thing." He says as he storms off from Hagrid's hut.
