We all cheer in the Gryffindor common room as Harry holds his egg out to the crowd in triumphant. "Yeah, Harry!" A 2nd year Gryffindor yells out for him "Way to go Harry!" A 7th year Gryffindor calls out. The twins carry Harry up on their shoulders and he tosses the egg out for the crowd to hold and pass around. "Knew you wouldn't die Harry. Lose a leg. Or an arm. Pack it in altogether? Never!" They yell out for him as the crowd continues to go wild for him. People pass the egg on back to Harry as they set him back down on the ground. "Shush!" Seamus shouts out holding the egg in his hands. He gives it a kiss before handing it back to Harry. "Go on Harry? What's the clue?" "Who wants me to open it?" He asks us and we all yell out yes in response. "Do you want me to open it?" He asks again, teasing everyone to which we all yell out even louder yes in response. He twists the top of the egg off and immediately a loud screech comes from the egg making everyone cover their ears in pain from the noise. "Harry, make it stop!" I yell out. He hurryingly closes the egg up making the screeching stop. "What the bloody hell was that?" Ron asks as he enters the common room."All right, everyone, go back to your knitting. This is gonna be uncomfortable enough without all you nosy sods listening in." Ron starts to approach Harry and Hermione and I decide to leave them to it and go over to the couch.
"I reckon you have to be barking mad to put your own name in the Goblet of Fire." Hermione and I look over at the boys. "Caught on, have you? Took you long enough." "I wasn't the only one who thought you'd done it. Everyone was saying it behind your back." "Brilliant. That makes me feel loads better." "Uh, I for the record, did not, thank you." I perk up making Hermione shush me. "Least I warned you about the dragons." "Hagrid warned me about the dragons." "No, no, no, I did. No, don't you remember? I told Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that Parvarti told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you. Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was-- It was really me all along. I thought we'd- be all right you know... after you'd figured that out." "Who--? Who could possibly figure that out? That's completely mental." Ron chuckles in response. "Yeah. Isn't it? I suppose I was a bit distraught."
"Boys." Hermione and I whisper out loud in astonishment, watching these two imbeciles make up like the idiots they are.
----------------------------------
We all sit in the Great Hall for lunch, Hermione reading the daily Prophet, I work on my Charms essay and Harry and Ron across from us blabbering on about who knows what. "Hi, Harry." I hear the Patil twins say to Harry as they walk by winking at him. I look over at Harry and see his cheeks heat up bright pink. He chugs on his pumpkin juice and turns around to look over at the Ravenclaw table where Cho and her friends are at. Cho sees Harry staring at her and smiles at him. He smiles back, spilling his pumpkin juice all over his sweater. "You like her, don't you?" I ask him. Hermione freezes what she's doing as does Ron as I continue to look at Harry. "Um... I mean... I don't- I think so... I mean, she's pretty. -" I raise my eyebrows at him, "Not that you're not pretty I mean too Arabella, she just..." I wait for him to stumble out an answer before I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
"You're allowed to like other people Harry. You and I well... we haven't been the same since last year and since I saw how you looked at her that day on the train, I had a feeling. We never solidified that we were exclusive to only each other Harry. It's okay." I give him a small smile to know I'm okay, when of course I'm not but he doesn't need to know that. I feel Hermione's hand rub my thigh in comfort and I grip her hand in mine. Harry gives out a large sigh in relief at what I've said to him. "That's... brilliant. You're such a great friend Bella." He tells me with a smile on his face. "Of course." And besides it's not like you're the only one who has their sights set on greener pastures." "Wait-what are you talking-" "Look at this!" Hermione interrupts us as she slams the newspaper on the table. "I can't believe it! She's done it again. Miss Malfoy, the black sheep of her family, seemingly disowned, has now developed a taste for famous wizards. Sources say that her and the famous Mr. Potter have been an ongoing item for over almost a year now. The two wizards couldn't keep their hands off of each other when asked about their relationship status. Sources also say she isn't the only wizard who has their eyes on the champions, Miss Hermione Granger has her eyes on the Bulgarian bonbon, Viktor Krum." "Well, at least we know all she reports are plain lies. God the Daily Prophet has gone to the shits, haven't they?" I ask as I continue writing on my parchment.
