Okay if you didn't think that last chapter was worth the wait, then you'll definitely think that this one is. This chapter very long and it gets steamy, in more ways than one. ;)

Riley POV:

Harper held my hand the whole ride to the hospital and I'm glad that she did. One look at my arm and I was starting to freak out. It was clearly broken and bent at a weird angle. The paramedics gave me some pain killers but it still hurt like hell. I definitely didn't want to be alone at the hospital so when Harper volunteered to come my heart warmed.

I don't know how either of us survived those four months of 'hating' each other. I think it's clear to everyone how desperately I need her in my life.

When we got to the hospital, Harper only released my hand so that the paramedics could unload my stretcher from off the ambulance. The second that my wheels were back on the ground, Harper's hand once again found mine. She walked beside the stretcher so that she wouldn't have to let go of my hand again as the nurses wheeled me into a hospital room.

Since I wasn't dying, I didn't get immediate care at the hospital. I had to wait a good hour and a half before a doctor could see me. In that time, I was more grateful than ever to have Harper here with me. She had pulled a chair up to my hospital bed and sat next to me with my hand folded between both of hers.

She looked at me, her eyes filled with concern. "How are you feeling?" she asked tentatively. "Hurts like a bitch but the painkillers are helping a bit." I said with a light chuckle. She offered me a warm smile as she rubbed small circles on my hand with her thumbs.

"When is you're dad coming back from his business trip?" she asked.

"Not for another two weeks." I sighed.

"So you're going to be all alone?" she asked worriedly.

"Don't worry I'll be okay." I said reassuringly, giving her a smile to prove my point.

Before she could respond the doctor walked into the room. He had a chart attached to a clip board and he flipped through the pages as he walked. When he stopped at my bed and looked up, he let out a small chuckle.

"Yep that's a good break. We are going to send you in for some x-rays so that we can determine exactly what broke and then we will get you set up in a nice fancy cast." the doctor said.

"Sound's good to me." Riley said. The doctor then nodded before ushering in a nurse. The nurse helped me stand up before sitting me down in a wheel chair. "We'll be right back." the nurse said to Harper.

She looked extremely worried so I gave her a small smile. She smiled back, her nerves seeming to ease a bit. The nurse then turned the wheel chair and wheeled me out of the room, following the doctor.

Harper POV:

I sat in the hospital room for about an hour before Riley and the doctor came back. She came back walking this time, instead of being in the wheel chair. She had a huge smile on her face as she held up her arm which was now set in a red cast. He eyes were red and she had tear stains on her cheeks, indicating that it wasn't a fun experience. My heart broke a bit at that realization. I hated seeing her in pain.

Riley sat back down on the hospital bed, swinging her legs idly back and forth. "Alright, I know your dad is working right now but if you could call him I would like to update him on your condition." the doctor said.
