Extremely long chapter coming up. Since there is so much going into this chapter, it may take me longer to write the next one. I apologize if I am slow to update.
Anyways enjoy the story!

Harper POV:
Just like we did on the night of homecoming, Kylie, Grace, and I all went to Lexi's house to get ready for the dance. The house was buzzing with excitement. Kylie and Josh had gone together to homecoming, but now they were officially dating. Grace and Sal were also officially dating and so were Lexi and Drew. It was nice that everyone had a date for prom and it was even better that our whole friend group was going together.
All the girls would wait at Lexi's house for their dates to come pick them up but this time, I wasn't waiting with them. I insisted on driving Riley and I to the dance. She drove us to homecoming and she usually drives everywhere else but today it's my turn.
I finished curling my hair and passes the curling iron to Lexi. "So Harper, let's see that gorgeous dress you bought." She said as she started curling her hair. A smirk spread across my face. "I didn't get a dress." I stated. All the girls stopped what they were doing and turned to look at me.
"No fucking way." Grace whispered.
"You got a suit?" Kylie asked excitedly. My smile spread even wider as I nodded. "Yes I did."
"Holy shit go put it on and show us!" Lexi shrieked. I laughed before walking out of the bedroom to the bathroom where my suit was hung next to the other girl's dresses.
The suit was a perfect fit. The pants hugged my ass and thighs in a way that I knew would drive Riley mad. Underneath the suit jacket was a white collared shirt that was slightly open but not too open to the point that I wouldn't be able to wear the tie. The tie that I had made from the extra material of Riley's dress.
I tried a few times to tie the tie but I just couldn't figure it out. I decided to leave it draped over the back of my neck untied to see if one of the girls could help me.
The second that I stepped back into the bedroom the three girls turned to me and their jaws dropped. "Holy shit I think I'm gay." Lexi joked.
"Harper you look hot as fuck. Riley is going to go nuts when she sees you." Kylie added.
I did a little twirl to show off the suit and the girls applauded. "Thank you thank you." I said as I jokingly bowed making them laugh.
"Do any of you know how to tie a tie? I tried but I couldn't figure it out." I said after I stood back up. They all shook their heads.
"Sorry can't help you there." Grace said.
"I can help you with that." A manly voice said from behind me. I quickly whipped my head around to see the last person I'd ever expect to see standing in the doorway of the bedroom.
"Dad what are you doing here?" I asked, half angry and half confused. He stood there with a sheepish smile on his face as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"I wanted to be here for your big night." He said quietly.
I was absolutely fuming. Be here for my big night? What about signing day? What about the senior all star game and every other big day that he missed? All because he couldn't accept me for who I am.
"Let's go in another room. Now." I demanded, trying to mask my anger so that I don't make a scene in front of my friends. I quickly left the bedroom and led my dad over to the far end of the hallway, as far away from Lexi's room as I could get. I turned around and spun to face my dad, my face fuming with anger.
