CHAPTER 24

Hello, everyone! It's been months of not updating this book! I think my last update was Feb? I'm sorry that it took me so long before I update again because of how busy and hectic my schedule is. Anyways, here's the update! Enjoy reading!

Naalimpungatan ako ng maramdaman kong umangat ako sa ere. I sleepily opened my eyes and saw my brother, Kuya Cali, carrying me with a serious face. He saw me when I opened my eyes. His eyes softened, and he smiled at me. 

In my view behind him was our big chandelier, which confirms that he's now walking up the stairs while carrying me. 

“You fell asleep while watching,” he softly said. He looked at his front as he stepped carefully up the stairs. 

“Ang mga bata?” antok na tanong ko.

Yumuko ito at tiningnan ako. “Kuya Juno ang Israel carried them to their rooms,” he said. Inayos ni kuya ang pagkakabuhat sa akin.

I nodded and slowly closed my eyes again. Napagod talaga ako ng sobra ngayong araw.

“I-I'm really tired, kuya.... I have no energy to walk in my room... I fell asleep. Thank you for carrying me, kuya.” Mahinang sabi ko habang nakapikit bago tuluyang kainin ulit ng dilim.

“Sleep tight, bunso.” I felt my brother's lips on my forehead before he gently put me in bed and covered my whole body with the comforter.

Nagising ako na magaan ang pakiramdam. I looked at the clock beside my bed and saw that it was already ten a.m. In the morning.

Ang haba ng tulog ko. Umupo ako sa kama. I looked outside and saw that my curtains were already placed on each side, causing the rays from the sun to go inside my room. Tumama pa ito sa mukha ko. I squinted my eyes.

Nag-inat ako bago tuluyang tumayo. I checked my phone to see if there were any messages from my secretary. I also opened my email and Facebook and scrolled a little.

While replying to emails that I have received, the door swung open, and it revealed my little Lucas in his pajamas, and behind him was Solene carrying a tray of food.

Their smile widened when they saw me already awake.

“Good morning, Mommy!” Lucas greeted.

“Morning!” It's Solene.

I smiled at them. Solene put the tray on the bed. “You did not go down to eat with us for breakfast, Mom, so we decided to just bring it here,” she said while smiling.

I smiled. Umupo ako sa kama. “Thank you, my babies. Come here. Let me give you a kiss,” I sweetly said. 

Lucas giggled and sat beside me. I immediately showered him with a lot of kisses on his face and neck. Solene set aside the tray first before sitting in front of us. She's smiling. Inabot ko ito at pinaulanan rin ng maraming halik sa mukha.

I smiled while hearing their laughter. It's like music in my ears to hear that early in the morning while the sun's rays are coming inside my room. 

After giving them kisses, Solene put the tray again in front of me. Napatingin ako sa mga pagkain. It's a bacon and egg with rice. May gatas pa at apple na kasama. I smiled. May vitamins pang kasama.

“Eat, Mom!” Lucas cheerfully said.

I pinched his nose. “Okay, mommy will eat now,” I softly said.

Kinuha ko ang kutsara at tinidor at nagsimula ng kumain.

While I'm eating, Lucas and Solene are busy teasing each other. Nakangiti lang akong nanonood sa kanila habang kumakain. Nakasimangot si Solene habang inaasar ni Lucas. Lucas took a picture of his sister while sleeping last night. May laway pa daw nakita sa camera kaya busangot na busangot si Solene sa kapatid.
