After Scarlett and I spent the rest of our weekend going out on one or two real dates and also visited her parents to take Rose back home on Sunday, I'm really excited for this week to start.

We all got up around 7am to get ready for school or work. Turns out that Rose isn't quite the morning person and so I decided on rising the little girl's spirits by making my very best smiley pancakes. Damn does she love them.

"Y/n/n they're so cool!" She beams with some excited smile as I place the plate in front of her. "Can I learn to make them too!?"

I chuckle and nod my head, "yes of course Rosebud! But to make smiley pancakes you'll have to get up in time." I then point out softly and Rose just gives some deep sigh.

"Or we can make them on the weekends!" The little girl suggests eagerly and I must admit, she got me there. I laugh and nod along.

"Smart little girl. That, we could do." I give in and Rose bounces in her seat, before she begins to stuff the first bite into her little mouth. That's when I hear Scarlett enter the kitchen with a soft chuckle as well.

"So Rosebud gets to have smiley pancakes all weekend and I?" She asks in a playful tone as she walks up close to me. I gulp and try to keep my blush at bay, for the sake of Rose.

Otherwise the little girl seems very busy with her breakfast. "Oh you could surely get another smiley if you asked." I wink and bite my bottom lip playfully as I look directly at Scarlett. Her smirk grows.

"I'll remind you on that one." She whispers in my ear and plants a soft kiss to my cheek. Yes, that's it. Now I do blush.

Rose giggles upon seeing her mother kiss my cheek and she points at me, "Y/n/n and mommy, sitting on a tree-" she starts and we laugh, but I also cut her off.

"That poor tree. The bough would crack hard beneath my weight." I say jokingly and it only makes Rose laugh like crazy, while Scarlett rather slaps my arm softly and chuckles.

"Don't such dear." She taunts and I shrug, still having a good laughter with Rose. "You two." Scarlett shakes her head amusedly and smiles.

Once breakfast was over with, I accompanied Rose while brushing our teeth. Let's just say the mirror had fair fun with the toothpaste.

Afterwards the three of us got settled in Scarlett's car and we headed off to Rose's school. It's a private school not far from our home. The drive was quick and took about 20 minutes only.

Scarlett parks her car in front of the building and I get out to get Rose from her seat.

"And then Miss Peterson told Tommy that he has to apologize to me." Rose rambles along as we make out way towards the school. Scarlett walks right after us, carrying Rose little bag. I turn to look back at her and offer to carry the school bag instead, at which Scarlett smiles gratefully and hands it to me.

"Miss Peterson was absolutely right. Tommy didn't have any right to steal your pen." I agree with Rose, while carrying her bag. "Next time when anyone steals your pen, you can ask them if they'd like it if you stole their pen. I'm sure they wouldn't." I add softly and smile as Rose looks up at me with big, happy eyes.

"And then they will think about it and give my pen back!" She states eagerly and smiles. I nod at Rose as we stop in front of the entrance to her school. "Thank you Y/n/n! Can you pick me up too?"

I look at Scarlett, who just nods with a smile and so I happily announce the good news to Rose. "I'll come and pick you up today!"

The little girl squeals from happiness and wraps her little arms around my shoulders as I was crouching down on eye level with her.
