Forever for me

It didn't take long for this wonderful weekend to be over. Early in the morning Scarlett and I got up to get ready for the day, before we had woken up Rose.

Since I go back into the studio today, Scarlett had to take Rose to school before her own workday started. I currently am on my way to the studio.

"You won't believe what happened this weekend!" I tell my manager Sarah excitedly, my smile growing with each word as I ramble on about meeting Scarlett's son Cosmo.

I also show Sarah a few pictures that I had taken over the whole weekend and it's clearly not only my heart swelling at those.

"Oh my God, you're such a sweet family!" Sarah coos while scrolling through some more pictures. "And Cosmo is such a sweet little boy. I believe Scarlett has been missing him like crazy, no?"

"She did and I still can't believe that she was able to hide her feelings about her son for so long." I admit with a sigh. What if she was hiding her feelings because she thought I couldn't handle two kids.

"Maybe Scarlett tried to be strong for Rose after all." My manager guesses and I perk up, nodding along.

"Yeah, yeah, maybe that is it." I agree, feeling more at ease with Sarah's way to put it.

"Will she see Cosmo more often now?" Sarah asks, tilting her head slightly as she leans onto my desk.

"Scar had a conversation with her ex and she'll get to see Cosmo every weekend for now." I tell my manager and I feel relief coming over me at the thought of Scarlett's bright smile whenever seeing her babies play together.

"Jeez, you're so in love with everything about that woman huh?" Sarah teases, nudging my side playfully. We share a chuckle.

"Uh-huh, so why don't we go to Sammy's bar for lunch today?" I ask, knowing very well that Sarah is just as much in love with Sammy, as I am with Scarlett.

My manager groans softly, "you suck." I just tilt my head, expecting an answer. "No, no we're not going for lunch at Sammy's today."

That's when I pull my puppy eye and 'aww' card. Sarah rolls her eyes playfully and shakes her head. "Don't even. Like, why don't you take Scarlett there for lunch eh?"

I sigh and lean back in my chair, "you're right. And Sammy should come to. When's his lunch break? Oh never mind, I'll text him."

"No, no, no, wait! Hey, what are you... give my phone back!" Sarah complains, trying to get her phone out of my hands after I quickly took it and got up to leave Sammy a text.

"Ooh, who's the 'hot bar guy' heart, flame, sweating emoji?" I tease with a chuckle, reading aloud the nickname Sarah has got for Sammy.

"That's not fair, you're taller!" My manager whines while still trying to grab her phone that I hold up above myself.

Once the message is sent, I let Sarah grab her phone again and laugh as she reads the invitation message for lunch at Sammy's bar today. "You asshole." She grumbles.

"Aw come on Sarah, when was the last time we were both at Sammy's? I just miss that dude and those days there." I explain innocently, blinking with my big eyes.

"Oh my God." Sarah only shakes her head and ushers my out of the door. "Now let me hear that song, silly." She instructs and closes the door behind me, leaving me standing in the recording room like a left puppy.

My manager takes her seat comfortably in the big chair behind the mixing table and I find my way over to stand at the microphone. "Hey just so you know, it's not finished yet."
