Woman I never knew I needed

It's been two days since the testing episode video got published and our Fan's reactions have been nothing but great.

Tonight Scarlett and I even got invited to Entertainment Tonight for some interview about being one of the cutest newcomer couples.

I don't even have to feel nervous about it, since her and I have already given interviews to various magazines. Such as People or I even got invited to MTV.

The only thing that still got me nervous about today, where my thoughts and doubts about what I've done with Sarah. Again.

Yesterday my manager called me in and we were exchanging about how far we should the arrangement run still, since I already reached the top charts and expected stream counts. Well, even more than expected to get from the arrangement.

Yesterday:

Sarah and I met up in the studio, after she called me in. We sat on the couch and were talking about how to continue with the arranged marriage with Scarlett.

"You seem happier with her, Y/n." My manager pointed out, smiling at me.

I got a little taken aback by her words, "is it that obvious?"  I asked.

"Well, apparently you became a fan of hers and seeing when you're with Rose, it is a lovely sight given." Sarah explained and made me smile at the thought of Rose.

The girl grew onto my heart and she seems happy to have two adults for herself, like having two parents, in one home.

"And the way you smile when just thinking about them. It's like you're meant to be with Scarlett and her daughter." My manager added as I had not spoken yet.

I began to slowly nod my head, "you're probably right." I admitted with a sigh.

"Y/n," Sarah spoke, scooting closer to me as to place her hand on my tigh, "she's the woman that you never knew you needed."

I let her words sink in and nodded again. The silence between us grew, as neither of us did know what else to say now.

Eventually I spoke up, "this sounds like a goodbye from what we had, no?"

Sarah smiled and gave me a small nod in confirmation at which I sighed. I didn't mind her, having Sammy now. Quite the opposite as I had now someone like Scarlett by my own side, but what if her and I decided to divorce sooner or later?

"Hey Y/n, even when this means goodbye, I will always be and stay your manager and best friend. No matter what comes." Sarah said and got me out of my thoughts.

I looked back at her and smiled, "just without the benefit we shared." I said and we shared a little laughter.

"Yes. Well, when things between Sammy and I start, that is." My manager told me.

I got confused, "what do you mean?"

"Sammy and I agreed to have a proper date, or two, before we would be official." She explained and I nodded in understanding.

"That sounds wise. I got my fingers crossed for you two." I spoke sincerely and Sarah smiled happily. We leaned in closer.

"Kiss me goodbye, Y/n..." She whispered against my lips, before Sarah gave me our first kiss ever. We had done different things before, but agreed to never kiss another.

During her kiss I felt something being off and apparently Sarah felt it too as she pulled back again soon. We gave each other a reassuring smile still.

The kiss showed me, that even when my manager and I shared other intimate things at times, we weren't meant to be more...

"Y/n?" I hear a familiar voice calling my name repeatedly and I look up from my seat to find Scarlett standing there.

She must've come home, while I was lingering in the thoughts about yesterday.

"Hey dear, are you okay?" Scarlett asks softly as she takes a seat next to me, on the couch. Her hand finds my back.

I start to nod slowly and smile, "yes. Sorry." I sit upright and give the beauty before me my whole attention. "How was your day sweetheart?"

"It was probably the most normal say in a long. Kate and I worked on a new product." She tells as a genuine smile spreads on her face.

I smile too and nod along, "there will be days you gonna miss a 'normal' one." We chuckle. "A new product you say? If you need a tester, you know I'd love it!"

Scarlett chuckles warmly and her eyes sparkle. "You would test a product? Are you sure about that miss smurf?" She teases.

I act offended and chuckle, "excuse me? I was very much a smurf when having the blue clay mask on." We both share a laughter. Gosh, I'm a fool for her laughter.

"So tell me, what's the new product? When will it be on the market?" I ask curiously.

"It will take some time, we only started to let the cream get mixed." Scarlett tells. "And we designed a tube." She adds and I hum.

"You know, I think the simple designs you use are just perfect. It's not too much, but recognizable. A clean design for a clean skincare line." I speak honestly and smile as Scarlett's eyes sparkle with gratitude.

"Aww thank you for seeing this, baby!" She squeals softly and with happiness. "It's exactly what we decided to make, when having our first designs." Scar adds, while I blush slightly at the nickname that probably just slipped her lips.

"A great choice you two made, I must say." I tell honestly and smile at her happiness.

Those small moments of happiness and joy we share more and more with each day that passes spent together, are exactly the moments that want me to have her forever, for real. If only I knew if she'd want me too.

Sarah was right about one thing. Scarlett is the woman I never knew I needed. It fills me with guilt that I haven't told her about the things that my manager and I shared.

"Y/n? What's up with you today? Are you feeling unwell?" It's again Scarlett's soft and caring voice that gets me back to her.

I shake my head slowly and muster a soft smile, "I'm good. Just thinking as always."

"Well, I  have been observing that you withdraw yourself more often into your thoughts and I feel left out as I wish for you to openly speak with me about everything. I really want us to have this kind of marriage where we tell each other everything, even when this is arranged. I just hope that, in the future, you'll feel as comfortable as I to open up. I really care about you, Y/n/n." Scarlett speaks with reassurance and her smile gives me a warmth feeling like home.

There is no way to not open up at those confessed feelings of hers. I do care for her well-being too, after all. And for Rose's.
