Later on that evening, Scarlett and I are headed to the location of my release party. We sit in the backseat of an black Chevrolet Suburban, which soon stops at the hall.

I look over at Scarlett with a soft smile on my lips and am met with her sparkling eyes. "Are you ready for tonight?"

"Ready when you are, Y/n." She assures me with a heart-warming smile and gives me a slight nod. I get out of the car first and walk around it to open her door as well.

I offer Scarlett my hand, which she gratefully takes as she gets out of the car. We keep our hands intertwined as we walk along the red carpet that leads to the entrance to my release party.

"Ok, those are many." I whisper into Scarlett's ear. I didn't expect so many photographers and other camera people to be awaiting us like this crazy.

Scarlett gives me a soft and reassuring smile as she squeezes my hand and we make our way to the centre of the carpet. "Congratulations on that dear!" She beams with excitement and sincerity.

Our eyes sparkle from the flashlights around us, as we try to look each direction possible with a bright smile on our faces.

I keep my arm around her waist and always hold her close to my side, while Scarlett rests her arm over my shoulder and one hand firmly on my chest. The wedding ring that my manager bought her shines bright and thick in the light.

Also from time to time, her and I's eyes meet as we look at each other with what seems to be love, passion but definitely care. I really do care for her and her kids, that I can tell. In a moment I least expect it, Scarlett plants a soft and sweet kiss on my lips. But really realizing what just happened, I only do due to the screams and her blush. I however feel the heat come into my cheeks too and smile like crazy.

"Now that was a present." I softly speak with a chuckle, while we make our way inside the hall.

"Oh please, that was nothing yet." Scarlett gives me a wink and her grin tells me that she means what she's indicating. Before I can make my mind up about anything, I feel her fingers slip through mine and am dragged along the hall to the bar.

Once we have our drinks, we cheer and sip on them while our gazes stay at each other. It is only now that I see something different, something new sparkling in her mesmerizing green eyes. Was I blind before? Could this be... no, I'm not playing in her league, I remind myself.

"Y/n? Y/n. This is a great location you chose. I love the vibe also!" Scarlett got my attention and talks about the location like it is the best she's ever been in, which I just chuckle and shake my head softly at.

"Oh please, this is nothing compared to the big MCU Premiere locations." I point out matter of factly and earn one of those alluring little laughters of hers, while Scarlett puts her hand onto my chest.

"Those may are big for the bragging, but this dear... this is big for the feeling. Your feeling of success and a big step in your career." She explains to me while her eyes sparkle with pure sincerity and what I still assume is love, as well.

Scarlett's words have been inspiring me to change my complete speech I had prepared for my guests and just talk to them high live. Even when most of the time my gaze always wanders over to my beautiful 'wife', I also notice that everyone else in the room is as glued to my lips as she is too.

When I look over at Sarah and Jason, they give me a proud and reassuring smile. Looking closer, I see a slight gesture towards Scarlett and that's my cue. I give Jason a slight nod, before I brightly look back into the audience.

"...but, as standard as this part may be, but I gotta thank a few people who supported me during well, my break and most of, the long and sometimes hard process of creating this masterpiece of an album." I start off, letting my eyes then find Scarlett's yet again. She has her hands folded in front of her chest and gives me a smile that got me weak on my knees. I hold onto the potest a little tighter.

"Jason, Max," I look over at them with a smile and a nod, "thank you for being the most supportive sources on my way. Now that I stand here, I think it was worth it that you set a deadline." I joke a little and get a few laughters from the audience.

"Sarah," my gaze finds hers as she looks up at me with bright and shiny eyes, "good that you kept a leash on Jason at times I guess," again there are a few laughters, "but mostly I thank you for bearing my moods, especially on those days where the paper stayed empty of lines. You always knew what to say and... you were indeed one of my final pushes when you told me to just spend a weekend away from all of this." Everything I say, I say with sincerity. Sarah gives me a grateful but also reassuring nod and I know that it was her pleasure to help me out that day.

"Last but definitely not least," I look over at Scarlett with the probably brightest smile of the evening, "she maybe doesn't know it yet, but she has indeed been helping me sometimes the most." I speak with conviction as she seems a little bit uncertain at first, until I continue that is.

"You may haven't been to the studio with me, but since the day I got your name in my head... it was like the words for my last few songs, which I urgently needed, came just floating out of my mind." Another round of laughters, but my eyes are too glued to Scarlett, that I barely notice it.

"Uh now I've drawn out this part for surely ten minutes already and so I won't make you guys wait longer for the live performances of my guests and just say thank you. Thank you for giving me this chance to be back, thank you for giving my mind in Better Version an open ear and thank you, for the support, love and affection to my person and what I do. I love you all!"

The heavy applause and cheering only slowly finds an end, when my guest Demi Lovato starts to approach the stage to give me a tight and warm hug, before we exchange a few little words of appreciation and I then leave the stage to her and her amazing voice.

I find my way to Sarah and the guys, giving each of them a good hug before I eventually focus on Scarlett who smiles brightest at me and wraps her arms tightly around me as so do I. "Congratulations dear! You did a great job up there. We loved it!"

My smile widens even more as I hear Scarlett's sincere and reassuring words, she softly whispers into my ear during the hug.

I couldn't feel more grateful as I do right at this moment, here with her. This night I did not only celebrate my release day, but I also celebrated to have got such a great partner as Scarlett is with me and I swear to myself that, no matter how we will end up, I will always be her friend.
