After we had dinner at Sammy's bar, but Rose got tired, we took it to Scarlett and I's home for a game night. The conversation keeps floating, on about God and the world. I gotta say, Sammy is super easy to talk to, even out of his bar and to add, he's a good man to my manager.
Hearing their laughters as I walk downstairs makes me smile. Especially Scarlett's alluring laughter. I just had brought Rose to bed, since she asked me to and now I'm joining the other three again.
Scarlett's smile grows as her gaze meets mine and I smile back just as bright, while I sit down comfortably next to her and wrap my arm around her shoulders.
"Is she asleep?" Scarlett asks quietly and I hum in confirmation as I leave a quick kiss on her cheek, before I focus back on Sarah and Sammy. Sarah smirks and I know exactly what her thought must be right now.
"Don't even go there." I try to warn my manager, raising my index finger playfully.
Scarlett looks in between Sarah and I, curiosity written in her eyes. "Ah you know, Y/n at first-"
"No. Nope, absolutely not. Not happening." I cut Sarah off, shaking my head frantically.
"At first," I cough intentionally, but Sarah is way to eager to tell that story. So my manager goes in again, "she was asking-"
"I wouldn't say I was asking though." I throw in quickly and matter of factly.
Sarah rolls her eyes upon getting interrupted again. Scarlett and Sammy seem to be very amused about it all.
"Well, Y/n was wondering if-" I open my mouth to cut Sarah off again, but Scarlett slaps her hand over my mouth and giggles.
"Shut up baby, I wanna hear it." Scarlett taunts me with a grin. Sarah gives me a toothy grin, marking her victory.
"She was asking for a friendship at first, you know, close friends or whatsoever and now look at her." Sarah finishes off the story in a squeaky voice, talking to me like I was a baby. I begin to pout and cross my arms.
Scarlett chuckles amusedly and she shakes her head upon seeing my pout. "Aww, look at that now." She teases and I throw a playful glare at Sarah, failing to hide my silly smile though.
"Guys, stop teasing Y/n for being such a sweet one actually. It could've been worse." Sammy saves me eventually and I share a grateful smile with him.
"Damn right. I could've been worse." I agree in a very serious manner, but the atmosphere doesn't stay serious for long when we share another fit of laughters.
Later on in the night we set up some snacks, drinks and started to play random games.
"Never have I ever," Sammy thinks and looks around, "crashed a car I just bought."
With that Sammy shoots down his shot and Sarah laughs. "What, wait! No way." I gasp.
Sammy laughs along with Sarah and they both nod. "What happened?" Scarlett asks, just as intrigued as I am about this story.
"So, it was about three years ago when I bought a new car and just as I was leaving the car dealer someone hit my car." Sammy tells and I can't hold my laughter in.
Scarlett slaps my arm, obviously demanding more of an understanding reaction to such a story. "My goodness, that must've been nerve wrecking."
"It was. Though, thinking about it now, it's kind of funny." Sammy admits and chuckles himself. Meanwhile I try to get it together.
"Did they give you another car?" I ask, trying to sound serious.
Sammy nods, "but it wasn't the car I wanted."
"I see. At least something." I say, sensing that Sammy doesn't seem so happy about the car he got instead. "Head up, now you got a nice car."
"Took me long enough to afford it." Sammy mutters, but smiles again.
"I feel it buddy," I admit and Sammy perks up in curiosity. "You see, I haven't always been blessed with money."
"So you worked hard until you made it." Sammy concludes and I nod.
"Even now that I own my car, there's still money to put into it." I add and Sammy hums.
"Definitely. Which means we have to keep working for the car still. Not that I mind though. It's worth it." Sammy says.
I nod along with agreement, but before we can keep our car conversation rolling, Sarah and Scarlett push our drinks into Sammy's and I's hands. We share a puzzled look as they giggle.
"Never have I ever," Sarah starts and looks at Scarlett with a shared grin, "shut down someone with a drink," Scarlett finishes.
Sammy and I chuckle, "very funny, girls." He mutters and shakes his head, but eventually we both give in and sip on our drinks in silence.
"Should I be concerned about you choosing your car over me?" Scarlett asks, looking at me with her eyebrow raised. I huff, "not at-"
"Slow there Y/l/n," Sarah cuts in and I make a hand motion to wipe her words off.
"Not at all." I finish my previous sentence firmly and give Scarlett a loving smile, though Sarah was right, I'm difficult when it comes to my car. Not that I would leave Scarlett.
"I feel her though." Sammy chimes in and I appreciate that man even more for having my back yet again. Sarah sighs deeply.
"Now I should be concerned." Sarah comments and I chuckle.
"I got you Sarah, in case they'd choose their cars over us." Scarlett states confidently and I see where this is going.
"Ah, bonding against us now eh?" I grin.
"Obviously." Scarlett admits and nudges my side playfully, before leaning into it.
I chuckle and hum, "sure you are. Hey, game on?"
"I'm in!" Sammy claps his hands and raises his glass with eagerness. We share a chuckle.
We connect our glasses all, before sliding back into our game night filled with more loose conversations, laughter and joy.
I really enjoy bonding nights with friends and loved ones, since you can always gain new energy from them and just have a place of comfort and someone to share your nights and have endless conversations with.
