Two

After hanging off the phone, Nowa ran downstairs to get Bella. She told her about Allan and Maya's trip to Malaysia. Bella knows them, so she also feels excited about it.

"Oh great!"

Bella grows interested in knowing them even more after watching all those streams with Nowa. That night, Nowa decided not to do any stream to contain her excitement and just hang out, watching TV with Bella. Suddenly, the news is disturbing their shows again.

"Ergh, what is it this time?" Nowa feels annoyed.

It is said that a weird middle-aged woman was caught on the CCTV of one of the restaurants nearby. In that footage, she screamed for water, but no one dared to step closer to her. The news ended just like that, as if it's unintentionally being aired. Nowa and Bella look at each other, feeling somewhat worried and also suspicious. The incident was located at Alamanda, which is close to them. Nowa I'm trying her best to brush it off by going to sleep.

The next day, the sudden news spread around again. Everyone seems to freak out with it. Nowa, on the other hand, is already late for work again. She doesn't have time to think about anything else. On her way to work, someone suddenly ran in front of her taxi, begging for water. Nowa stepped out of the taxi.

"Hey, miss? Are you crazy? Move! I'm running late!" she said.

"Water! Give me water! Please!" The woman begged for it.

"What? Go buy it yourself! You're literally in front of a freaking convenient story! Now, move!"

"Please, I'm thirsty! So thirsty! I'm dying!"

Nowa feels so creeped out by the situation. She rushed back into her taxi, took a bottle of water that she bought for herself, and gave it to her. The woman swallowed everything from the bottle. Nowa asked the driver to continue driving around her as she just stood there with the water bottle. Suddenly, she screamed out loud. From inside the taxi, Nowa heard it. She also saw everyone else freaking out even more.

"What's wrong with her?" the driver asked.

"I also don't have any idea about it."

Upon arriving late to her office, her boss nagged her in front of everyone. Embarrassed? Of course, she is! But, it's not 100% her fault. The woman who stopped her should be at fault.

"Something happened when I was on the road. I can't avoid it," she said.

Her day is already a mess again, and she doesn't have the mood to argue with anyone. But, she also has a feeling that someone will try to mess up with her by telling her boss something shitty lies about her. Nowa has been doing well enough for her work, and the boss loves her work. Someone might feel jealous about it and spread something about her. But Nowa always tries her best to ignore it.

She did her work as usual and went back home. But before that, she had something to say to a specific person, but instead of directly saying it to that person, she said it publicly.

"I know, it's hard to be well-liked by our boss. I know because I feel it right now. But believe me, I worked hard enough to get to this point, so whoever you are, please jump off the building or anything. Your wonderful lie won't do anything to me except it will only eat you alive. Seeing me become more and more successful but you're still stuck at the same table. Hatred is human's worst enemy. It won't bring you anything but pain. It's just embarrassing, you know? Come talk to me if you have anything left to say. And I'm always free if you need my help," she said, while her eyes met another pair of eyes full of hatred.

"I'll be leaving now. See you all tomorrow!"

Nowa left her office, feeling a bit better. Along her way back, she's suddenly stuck in an accident that causes traffic jams. The accident looks bad. Two cars crashed into each other. Nowa managed to take a glare at the victims once her taxi moved around it. One of them looks dying, but the other one looks some kind of... fine. He was sitting while looking at everyone. What that kind of damage, no one can look that fine.

"Thank you," Nowa said to the driver before entering her house.

Bella seems to have not arrived yet as her car is also not on the porch. Nowa make them some simple dinner before going to bath. When she's showering, she hears Bella's car from the porch. She is finally home. Nowa walks downstairs to eat her dinner.

"I made dinner, let's eat," Nowa said.

"Alright!"

They both eat in front of the television like usual. The news about the accident is already in.

"I saw it on my way back home. The first victim, well, she looks like dying, but the other one looks perfectly fine," Nowa said.

"Perfectly fine? With that kind of damage?"Even Bella is weird about it.

"That's what I thought. He looks so fine."

But, shockingly, the fine victim that Nowa described had a seizure after someone gave him drinks. It's caught by the camera.

"Well, he doesn't look fine now," Bella said.

"People did say don't give dying people any kind of liquid. It will only speed up the dying process. He doesn't look like dying before," Nowa replied.

"We don't know the damage inside him."

The news continues by saying that the guy who had the seizure is already on the doctor's watch. Nowa somehow doesn't feel good about it.

"Bella, early this morning, do you, by any chance, use the road in front of the convenience store?" she asked.

"No, I used another route. Why?"

"Well, my taxi driver uses that route."

"And?"

"Someone stopped our car, begging for water. She begged like she couldn't afford to buy it, but for me, she looked just fine with a few bucks in her pockets to buy a bottle of water."

"Did you give it to her?"

"Yeah, I did for sure. If not, I can't go to work because she's blocking the car, begging for water, and won't budge."

"So, did anything happen after?"

"She screamed out loud. Everyone else freaking out. I'm not sure what will happen next."

"Maybe she's just a random crazy person."

Nowa shrugged her shoulders. There's something else she wanted to say.

"It reminds me of that news. The crazy women, remember?" she asked.

"Yeah, I remember. You don't feel good, ain't it?"

"I don't think I'll be good. What about you?"
