The first variation, of course, is the normal one. The slow walker. He named it just the Infectee. It's easier to kill this variation as they're the weakest one. And only their hands turn black.

Next on is, The Runner. Like its name, this variant can run as fast as it can. It can be killed easily just like the Infectee but only if you manage to outrun them or you should stay away from their sign. They're usually alone as the other variant can't keep up with them, not even their kind. Their legs are usually buffed and turn into black. They couldn't see well but hear everything. As for now, they still haven't met this variant.

The Resurrectors come next. They look like the Infectee but they're a dying human who turns into this creature. They're technically immune to a single bullet. Killing them required a lot of it since it's 2x stronger than the Infectee or the Runner. They also walk at a normal speed like a normal human. Their arms turn black. The one they met at the hospital is from this variant. They need special bullets to kill them since they also can heal themselves.

The fourth one is The Carriers. Carriers carry viruses just by walking around. They release some kind of dust from their body that will be blown by the wind. Once the survivor accidentally swallows it or it gets into their blood vessels through an open wound, they will turn into one. Carriers are also the reason for all the Infectee evolution. They have green moss around their body. They encountered this type when they were at the first safe camp. Might be the reason why Bella got infected. She got a few scars after all and she stayed in front of the cage for a while. Killing them is as hard as the Resurrectors as their toxic level is high and can easily destroy the bullets. They also walk at a normal speed as humans.

They encountered this species the very first time they met Allan and Maya. The Crawlers. Those who are infected by this virus tend to turn smaller than their normal size. It'll make it easier for them to crawl onto the wall. They're also fast and can camouflage. The only way to notice them is by their smell. They smell fishy. They don't have any black marks and the best way to kill it is by crushing their hands or legs.

The Sirens came up next. Like the Siren on the sea, they use their voice to lure survivors. Unlike the original siren who lured them with a majestic voice, this Siren will scream loud. Those who listened to it will be close to deaf and have some internal bleeding before slowly walking into the trap. It's happened to Mike before. Sirens usually stay in one place, surrounded by other creatures like a princess. Killing them will be easy only if they don't notice you. They have sharp hearing and have black marks around their neck.

Next up, The Ferals. If Crawlers only can crawl up to anything before attacking the survivors, Ferals on the other side will crawl and jump from everywhere to anywhere. They're always in a group. Their ability made it easier to move around the survivor without being noticed. There'll be no escaping once they land on you but Daniel somehow manages to save Allan from it before. Killing them is harder since they can dodge almost everything. They have sharp eyes and ears. Half of their face turns black. A bomb to kill them would be a great option.

Another variant is The Armeds. They're technically the police or armies that got infected while in their safety gear, such as bulletproof vests. Some of them are still holding on to their weapon and can know how to use it. Survivors will have a hard time killing them because of the vest.

And lastly, The Brutes. The one who killed Maya. The biggest infection. Their bodies are 5x bigger than normal humans. They are usually blind and deaf but not all of them. They have very thick skin. A normal bullet won't do anything. They will pin humans to the wall, crushing them with their two them, snap them into half or swing them around. Run and pray for your life if you see them. They also can throw stuff around. Then can be considered a fast infection.

The infected can either transform into the special infected after the first transformation or after they get exposed to the dust from the Carriers. It depends on how their body adapts to the virus.
