It took two days for them to fully prepare for the new safe camp. When it’s ready, they get back to Bandar Kajang to tell Admiral Mika about it.
“Good job! We can move on to the next stage which is transferring the survivor. I managed to get a few trucks from the other safe camp. We can transmit them now. And Karn, you and your team will be the one who takes charge at the new camp,” Admiral Mika said.
They feel proud of themselves, to be honest. Being appointed as a leader is lots of trust and Admiral Mika trusted them now.
“With due respect, I agree.”
All of the survivors are now being transferred to the new safe camp. Radz and Shaf handle a few utilities that they manage to gather from the other camp and their camp as well. The other team also takes some of it from the mall around. Sofea and Daus are making sure that all of them are taking the vaccines before entering the new safe camp. Karn is making sure everything is in place. They need to do this transfer since their safe camp needs to be used as the ‘factory’ for the antidote gas bomb and vaccines. They need a larger area for that.
“Is everyone already getting your utilities?”, Radz asked.
Everyone seems to be getting it already. They look comfortable in their new places.
“No more mini park for us, I guess,” Nowa said to them while they were just sitting inside the dining area.
“I think so. That mini park holds a lot of memories of us,” Sofea said.
Well, this is our new place now. Everything will be better here,” Karn said.
“It’s almost dinner. We need to prepare the food,” Shaf said.
“Need help?”, Sofea asked.
“Nope, we’re good. We’ll call you if the food is ready.”
Shaf and Radz move on to the cooking area to prepare some food for them.
“Daniel, are you okay now?”, Allan asked.
“Of course I’m good. Why?”
“Hiding again?”
“What? No! I was hiding my feelings and everything before but it’s enough,” Daniel said before leaving.
“You snapped him out, Al,” Daus said.
“I didn’t mean to.”
“Well, but you did.”
During dinner, Daniel didn’t say anything to any of them. Allan did snap him out. He hates the fact that Allan might be seeing him as a pathetic being by using all those hidden feelings things. But, Allan didn’t intend to.
“I found a nice place for us to hang out some time while I’m cleaning behind there,” Daus said.
“What? Really?!”, Sofea asked.
“We can go check that place out after dinner,” he said.
“Let’s go!”
Right after dinner, Daus brought them to the place that he was talking about. It’s a bit high up so they need to climb up. From that place, they could still observe the safe camp while hanging together. It's a nice place to stay. Behind them also is a small river.
“Woah, it’s indeed a nice place! We can sit around while observing them all!”, Shaf said.
“Indeed! Good job, Daus!”, Sofea said.
They sit down, facing the safe camp. The night is chilly but still good.
“I couldn’t believe that I went from a normal person who played games a lot and did stream, to someone who needed to volunteer to enter the battlefield full of infected and now joining a leader group for this safe camp,” Nowa said, proud of herself.
