Six months later….

Everything slowly gets back to normal. The infected are mostly already wiped out around Selangor. Professor William and his team managed to speed up the process and they distributed everything around. In the next few months, the antidote gas bombs and vaccines will be distributed around Malaysia. Nowa and all her friends are the ones who gave the most helping hand throughout the process of distributing. As for the infected that got back to normal, they were all brought to an empty camp and will be treated accordingly. They also manage to get rid of the remaining dead body. They can’t bury it all so they need to burn them all at once.

“Is the remaining body already sent to the demolished area?”, Karn asked.

“Yep, they did. I think that’s the last batch for this area. I’m not sure about another place,” Nowa said.

“It’s fine. You can go back to now. Have a rest. You did well here.”

Nowa left to go back to the safe camp. From afar, she saw them talking with each other already. They look good now.

“You get back here early,” Nowa said.

“I just arrived. And I smell horrible!”, Sofea said after sniffing herself.

“Everyone did, Sofea. After all, we just finished picking up all that rotten flesh,” Daus replied.

“I would like to take a shower now so bye!”, Amber ran away to get her shower first.

“That’s not nice of you!”, Sofea shouted at her and ran to get her.

Most of the survivors are also already going back to their homes, cleaning up the mess. Nobody knows what their house looks like until they get to see it with their own eyes. Those who live in Kuala Lumpur were affected the most because of the reckless team. Only a few survivors who haven't left yet are allowed to stay for the next two months until they're ready to go.

“Did you want to take a look at our house?”, Daniel asked.

“I think we should. Let’s go to yours first, shall we?”, Nowa replied.

“Let’s go.”

They take a truck with them after getting permission to use it. Daniel drives to Cyberjaya first, to his house and to Mike.

“Where’s Allan? I just noticed he’s not with you,” Nowa asked.

“Oh, he got sent to Putrajaya. Maybe still cleaning,” Daniel replied.

“Putrajaya? With whom?”

“Erm, I think only him and other soldiers.”

“Will he be okay?”, Nowa asked, considering that they lost Maya at Putrajaya.

“He’ll be fine. I believe in him.”

Putrajaya's Safe Camp

As soon as Allan finished cleaning the area, he dragged his feet to where to lost Maya. Only a few kilometres from the safe camp. This place remains the same. The gunshots marks, the explosion marks, everything is frozen in time. He remembers exactly everything. What he saw, what he heard and how bad it was. He walks even closer to the sewer where Maya stuck her feet before. He kneels, putting a rose as a reminder that she was there, and he misses her more than he thought.

“Hope you’re doing well,” he said.

He let his breath out before getting back on his feet. Not long after that, the winds blew away. It’s chilly but he feels good. He smiles through it, feeling somewhat warm and tingly inside.
