Isobel :

Jack and I have been texting all morning, and after texting all this time I wanted to meet him.

Me:
we should meet up

Jack:
you live in la too right?

Me:
yes I do

Jack:
you know the Starbucks on *some address*?

Me:
yes I do, how about three?

Jack:
sounds great

I checked the time, 1:30, and turned off my phone. I put on a skater skirt, and on a crop top that said: "No Boyfriend No Problem."

[A/N: okay im sorry, that was cringe-worthy, but i won't change it]

I curled my hair, and I read the time when I was done. It was 2:30. I guess it took me some time to figure out my outfit.

I drove to Starbucks, and I saw Jack leaning against his car. I guess he was early, too.

"Hey, Jack!" I called, walking over.

"Hey, Isobel," he said.

He hugged me, and I hugged him back. He was such a sweet guy. I don't know how anyone could hate on him. I've only seen what's been said on social media, but I was ready to get to know the real him.

"Ready to go in?" I asked.

"Yea, come on," he said.

We both ordered, and took a seat in the corner booth. I got stares, but I ignored them.

"How are you?" He asked.

"I'm good, I just can't believe you're in front of me," I said, "I thought maybe you wouldn't like me."

"I like you, Isobel," he said, and I blushed, not really knowing why when we had just met. I then assumed he meant as a friend.

"I'm not anything special," I said.

"You're nicer than everyone else," he told me, "and you're beautiful."

He sent a warm smile across the table, and I grinned. We talked some more, and then we talked about his relationship with Jack.

"I didn't think he would leave," Jack said.

"Was there a problem?" I asked.

"Madison didn't like him, and the fans thought I was treating him wrong," he explained.

I nodded, "maybe you should try talking to Jack again."

"I can't," he said shaking his head, "and now I can't pay my rent."

"Maybe you should try getting a gig, sing some cover songs," I suggested, "there's clubs, and I know you can sing, Jack."

"No one would want me, regardless."

"That's not true," I said.

He shrugged, and while glancing at me, gave me a smile with the corner of his mouth. In return, I gave him a warm smile, too.

"Okay, I'll try," he says.

"Make him wish he never left," I encouraged.
