Jack ;
Two weeks later, and I managed to get a gig at a club singing some covers of party songs. I was getting fifty dollars an hour to perform, and that was fine with me.
I'm so glad I have Isobel as my friend. I don't know what I would've done without her.
I decided to call her, and invite her to my next gig at the club. Then she could see how good I'm doing because of her.
I called her on my phone, and it rang twice before she answered.
"Jack," she greeted, "what's going on?"
"Hey, Isobel," I said, "I just wanted to say thank you for the gig idea."
"Did it work?"
"Yes, I also want to invite you to the next one I'm at," I say, "would you like to come?"
"Of course I'll come!" She said excitedly, "when and where?"
"It's tomorrow night, I'll text you the address," I tell her.
"Awesome," she said. "I'm proud of you Jack."
"Me too."
I end the call, and pump my fist in the air. I have to confess I think I like Isobel.
Without her I don't think I could've paid for rent, or put my life together. How was I as lucky to get the sweetest girl with the nicest heart?
I begin to practice covers for my next gig. I was going to be singing, Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, Stitches by Shawn Mendes, Flashlight by Jessie J, Cheerleader by Omi, plus more.
I began to sing Cheerleader.
When I need motivation
My one solution is my queen
Cause she stay strong
Yeah, yeah[ A/N: I only did a small portion, because it's weird when authors write the whole song just because]
I sang the rest of the song, and I sounded good. I hope the crowd, and especially Isobel like it.
I grinned to myself, and began singing the next song. Maybe I do need Jack, but right now I think I'm doing just fine.
