Isobel ;

Shawn drove us both to the place where we were eating. He never told Vanessa or I where though, so I was curious.

He pulled up in front of a fancy cafe. It looked more like a restaurant when we walked in. The tables were circular, with white cloth over it. White, shiny, chinaware plates, and silverware were on each side of them.

The host in front of the podium (the type without a microphone) gestured to a table, handing us three menus.

I wondered when Shawn's friend was coming. He seemed to be coming late.

"Hey Shawn," said a familiar voice.

A boy took a seat across from me, and next to Shawn. He had dirty blonde ruffled hair, cool ocean blue eyes. He was wearing a navy blue and white striped shirt, and khaki shorts.

The one and only Jack Johnson. My Jack Johnson.

When he saw me, his eyes widened, and his mouth opened. Shawn cut him off by introducing us.

"This is Addy Greene, and Alana Parker," he pointed at each of us, as he said our fake names.

Jack just stared at Vanessa and me; his eyes flickering between the both of us, and on occasion to Shawn.

We ordered our food, and drinks, and waited patiently. I decided it would be a good time to use the restroom, and think about everything going on.

   Excuse me," I said.

I pushed the chair back, and made my way to the restroom. Before I could push the door open, a hand locked around my wrist.

   It was Jacks hand.

   "Isobel," was all he said.

"It think you've mistaken me for someone else."

"Isobel, Addy Greene is the fakest fucking name I've ever heard," he scoffed.

I yanked my wrist out of his grip, and faced him.

"Sorry you don't like my name, but I don't know who Isobel is."

Before he could respond I entered the women's restroom, and made sure no one was inside. When I made sure, I locked it quickly.

Jack noticed I wouldn't be coming out soon, so he started knocking on the door furiously. Did he honestly think I would do whatever he wants? He's not my dad, nor my mom.

   "Isobel, unlock the door."

I glanced around the bathroom, trying to find a way out. Jack would have to come in somehow, and I couldn't be here for it.

I continued looking through the room, and found an air duct vent I could climb through. With the little food I ate at the hospital, I should be able to fit in it. The ceiling wasn't that high, maybe if I jumped high enough...

I grabbed the vent, and opened it, the vent flab hung on its hinges slightly. I climbed on the counter, hoping if I leaned in I could reach it without falling. I did fall though, and the only thing I heard was my fall.
