Isobel ;

I slept almost too good, but I waited for the moment where Gilinsky ruined it all. It was surprisingly quiet though, but when I went downstairs I found Jack cooking eggs.

[authors note: jack is johnson, gilinsky is gilinsky for this chapter]

He glanced up at me brightly, and grinned. He was in a good mood, and it seemed I was too. No Gilinsky here. I bet he hooked up with somebody.

   "Eggs?" He asked.

   "Yep," I chirped.

"Good, because I would probably serve them to you anyway," he laughed under his breath.

"Have you talked to Jack?" I asked in a calm tone.

His face didn't fall, but worriedly, like Jack always was. He felt like a brother, or boyfriend at the same time. Which might sound weird, but it was refreshing to know someone cared about me.

   "No," he said.

It was eerily quiet, so I broke the silence.

"Before my world might crash down when I tell my mother, can we go the park?" I asked.

"Sounds relaxing," he said, "I'm up for it."

Some time ago when I was dating Gilinsky I brought emergency clothes to his apartment, they were all casual though.

Jack served me eggs with OJ, and I delightfully ate them. I complimented his eggs, then I changed into a black romper, with my flats. My hair turned into a messy bun, and me and Jack were out the door around 9:00 a.m.

We walked to Beverly Park from his apartment, it wasn't too long, nor too short. It made me relax, and clear my head. At some point Jack put his arm around me, and I didn't shrug it off.

He was starting to rub off of me, and I liked the way he actually cared about me. I'm glad I never wasted my virginity on Gilinsky.

When we got there, kids pranced around the playground, and moms read their novels on wooden benches. I breathed in the air, and it smelled like pine cones.

I figured out it was because Gilinsky and Madison were coming towards us. A smug grin was plastered on Madison, but Gilinsky took me by surprise. Gilinsky always had smelled like nature, hence pine cones, and candles, especially cinnamon.

"Don't let them control you," Jack whispered.

He was right, and I sucked in a breath, and exhaled slowly. I shrugged Jack's arm off finally, and we stopped in front of them.

"Is Jack your new fuck buddy?" Asked Madison.

"As surprising as it is, I'm a virgin, unlike some dirty sluts I know," I spoke swiftly, "isn't your vaginal hole worn out by now?"

Her face turned angry, and vicious, like an anaconda, but Gilisnky whispered some magic words in her ear, and she calmed down.

"You're still a bitch, no wonder Jack cheated on you," said Madison.

I was seriously going to slit her throat, go to Canada as a fugitive, and rename myself Veronica Smith. It seemed foolproof.

"I bet you started the kiss, not him, you're just out to ruin relationships," I said.

"Unlikely, you're a virgin, he wants someone experienced."

   "Experienced with HIV?" I asked.
