We spent the rest of the day as we normally did: in bed, ignoring the world and just focusing on each other.

We were busy in deep conversation when there was a soft knock at the door. Buggy sighed, clearly still not wanting to interact with his crew.

"Come in," He commanded, in a bemused voice.

I wanted to tell him not to have that tone with his crew, but it wasn't my place to say it. I was surprised to see Dilly walk through the doorway.

"Dilly?" I asked, smiling at perking up in my spot.

She greeted me with a smile, but a small one. It made my heart sink a little bit. Was she mad at me again? I had thought we had made up but there was something that felt off about her.

She held up two bowls of soup that she was carrying. "We were about to finish the soup, and I thought that you both should have the last of it."

Okay, maybe she isn't mad at me, I thought, with a glimmer of optimism.

I sprung out of bed, meeting her at the door. "That was really nice of you."

She avoided eye contact with me. Her behaviour was so strange.

"Yeah, well, you made it, so..."

"I still appreciate you thinking of us, Dilly."

I took the bowls out of her hands. Dilly shrugged. "Don't sweat it."

Then, she was gone. I moved back towards the bed, handing a bowl to Buggy who happily accepted it.

"Did she seem off to you?" I questioned, as I sunk back down beside him on the bed.

Buggy dug into his soup, seemingly not concerned about Dilly. "I don't know. She seemed fine to me."

I decided to leave it. Dilly often switched between liking me and not liking me. Part of me thought it was just a pirate thing - maybe she didn't know how to be friends properly.

My worry left me not very hungry.

"Do you want my soup?"

Buggy looked like he was hiding a smile. "You're not hungry?"

"Nope."

"Well, if you insist," He said, in a dramatic voice.

I giggled to myself, leaning my head against his shoulder as he finished off the second bowl.

"You're such a fast eater."

He placed down the bowls on the bedside table, then crawled on top of me. Grinning, he said, "It's because I've already eaten so much today."

"But... you haven't -" He tilted his head to the side and got this glimmer in his eyes. Suddenly, I clicked on to what he meant. "Bugs, you're gross."

His lips pressed against mine gently. "Yes, but you love it."

I rolled my eyes. "I wouldn't say I love it."

"Adore it, then?" He asked, nibbling on my lip. "Use whatever word you like."

I could feel my heart fluttering in my chest. You think after all our contact that I wouldn't be so sensitive to his touch, and yet I really still was.

Then, our lips were together again. His hands began snaking their way around my body, into my underwear. Our bodies were electric together.

All I could think was 'how do we take this to the next level'? I wanted that more than anything, but I wasn't sure how to even begin going about it.

I slipped my hand into his trousers, causing him to gasp against my lips. That sent shivers up my back.
