ive been in london for a week now, and oakley and i have just finished the song. right now, we're laying in bed watching a movie, but our peace is disturbed when his phone rings. i sit up so he can get to his phone, and when he reads the caller id, he swallows hard before getting up, pushing me off him gently as he leaves the room, shutting the door behind him. 'one sec.' is all he says. i look at the door shut behind him confused, my heart dropping. i'm not dumb, i know who he is and what he does, i just didn't know he'd have the heart to do it to me. especially after promising he'd never cheat on me.

i pause the movie, taking my own phone out and checking the unread messages that valerie sent me earlier and replying to them. we all came to an agreement to publicise the song tonight at midnight. not sure why, but it's dramatic so i agreed. after discussing any future interviews i have to do in london with valerie, oakley walks back in, making me look up at him.
'you good?' i mutter as he nods, sitting back down and wrapping his arm around my waist, attempting to pull me towards him as he kisses my neck but i just roll my eyes, gently pushing him off. 'i need a drink.' i murmur, getting up. i hear him sigh as i walk out, hearing him follow me.
'lia, stop.' he speaks but i continue to the kitchen. 'come on, allow it. im sorry, madeline was jus-'
'madeline?' i repeat, stopping as i look up at him, both of us standing face to face.
'she just wanted to talk, i dont know why i answered, i just didn't want you to think of the worst.' he speaks as i scoff.
'no, i dont care. we're not together anyway, you can do whatever you want.' i mutter in response, feeling my heart hurt at my own words.
'dont say that. come on, lia. im serious.' he speaks, holding my wrist and keeping me still.
'so am i. i dont care. truly.' i lie, and he can clearly tell.
'stop being difficult and hear me out. she texted me a week ago, and i was dry. look. i swear, i would never cheat on you.' he speaks, taking his phone out and showing me the messages. i stay quiet as i read them before he puts his phone in his pocket.
'im sorry. you know id never do that to you.' he speaks as i look up at him. when i dont reply, he wraps his arms around my waist and holds me against him, his lips on my forehead as he repeatedly places a few kisses in the same spot.
'the song will be out in a few minutes.' i murmur against his chest as i feel him nod.
'come back to bed.' oakley whispers as i nod, following him to his room.
