Silverpaw picked up her prey, and padded towards Rosecloud. "How was that?" she asked. "That was wonderful." Rosecloud meowed cheerfully examining Silverpaw's catch. This was one of Silverpaw's assessments and she had passed with flying colors. It had been a moon and a half since the battle with ShadowClan; and, Wind Clan was recovering well. Runningpaw had been recovering well after the loss of Stormpaw. Sunpaw had been coping well too, and she no longer glared at Silverpaw when she passed by. Wounds had healed well.

Soon Silverpaw and Rosecloud arrived in camp. "Okay, put your fresh kill in the pile and get ready to go." Rosecloud said. Silverpaw looked at her mentor, confusion in her expression. What does she mean, Moonpaw thought. "We're going to Moonstone." said Rosecloud, after a moment of silence. "Oh okay! I'll go put my prey in the pile then." Silverpaw meowed.

She bounded away, put her prey in the pile, and walked to the apprentice's den. "Don't forget to go to Birdsong for herbs!" Rosecloud called. Silverpaw nodded and made a mental note to go to the medicine den. She looked around camp to find the other apprentices, to see if they had gotten the news. After a moment she found them. They were eating outside in their usual spot in the far corner of camp. She padded over to them and meowed hello. Foxpaw had stopped eating to talk, as usual. "Did your mentors tell you where we're going?" Silverpaw asked. Runningpaw and Sunpaw nodded. "Yeah, Smokefur told me. I'm not looking forward to swallowing those herbs though." he meowed. Sunpaw took a bite out of her vole and spoke with her mouth full. "Cloudfoot told me about it too, I'm heading to the medicine den after I eat my vole." Silverpaw chuckled at the ginger tabby she-cat. She was lively as ever.

"Wait where are we going? Fill me in Silverpaw!"

Silverpaw looked at her brother, Foxpaw and tilted her head. "We're going to Moonstone tonight. Didn't Mistpelt tell you?" Silverpaw explained. She could see the knowledge dawn upon her brother within an instant. "Oh! That's what I heard her say! I was looking at this fat rabbit hopping by." he said. Silverpaw could see longing in his green eyes. Probably still wants thst rabbit. She heard Runningpaw clear his throat and she turned her head to hear. "Let's just go get the herbs and get it over with." he said. The apprentices all agreed and they all walked to Birdsong's den. The sleek gray medicine cat was waiting with her apprentice Lillypaw.

"Eat these and Lillypaw will get you the rest." she said gently. Silverpaw stared at the herbs. She could've sworn one of the leaves looked prickly, unless that was just her distaste for herbs talking. I may as well get it over with, she thought. She swallowed the herbs, wincing at the bitter taste they left in her mouth; and, got up to join the other apprentices. She saw Hawkwing speaking with Wrenwhisker and Gorseclaw, who had recently been made a warrior.

"Hi Hawkwing!" Silverpaw said. "Hi Silverpaw! I hear you're going to Moonstone." he meowed proudly. "Yeah, I'm leaving in a moment." Silverpaw replied. Hawkwing nodded. Suddenly, there was a call from across the clearing. Silverpaw turned to see Rosecloud waiting for her. "I better go." she mewed. Hawkwing nodded and meowed goodbye. Runningpaw was waiting with his mentor, Smokefur. Sunpaw was there too with Cloudfoot. "Wait, Mistpelt and Foxpaw aren't here." Smokefur said. "Yes we are." said a voice behind them. Mistpelt was padding over to them, Foxpaw trotting behind her.

"Alright, let's go." Rosecloud said. Silverpaw padded after her mentor as they all headed out of the camp. The breeze was whistling across the moor and ruffled Silverpaw's fur. She closed her eyes and took in the scent is brought with it. She could smell heather and faint scents of prey. The moor would always be magnificent to her. Never gets old...

"I love it when the moor is windy." meowed a voice behind Silverpaw.

Silverpaw turned to see Runningpaw, standing behind her. "Um... yeah its really nice." Silverpaw meowed nervously. She and Runningpaw exchanged an awkward glance and padded after their mentors. She saw thst Foxpaw was staring at a moth that was forcing its way through the breeze. Foxpaw was about to pounce on it but he suddenly froze. "Wait, we have to cross Thunderpath?" he said nervously. "Yes. Its the only way to get to Highstones." Mistpelt growled.
Silverpaw shuddered at thought of crossing the long black path. She then wondered what would happen at Moonstone, she wondered if she would meet her ansestors. Would she even see them, considering she was half kitty-pet. "Are we there yet!?" Sunpaw meowed impatiently. She had been silent for most of the walk, but now she was eager to get to Hightstones. "Yes we're almost there." said Cloudfoot. The gray-blue warrior seemed relaxed but alert as they scent of the Thunderpath grew stronger.

"There's the Thunderpath!" yowled Mistpelt. Silverpaw looked up to see the Thunderpath. "It smells like a fox that's been dead for a moon." Runningpaw whispered to Moonpaw. "You just read my mind." Moonpaw meowed back. Foxpaw let out a half-upset and half-joking meow. "You both already said that joke moon ago! You know my name is Foxpaw!" he said, his green eyes glowing wide. They all let out mrrowws of laughter.
"Alright everyone, pay attention. Smokefur is going to show us how to cross Thunderpath." Rosecloud mewed. Moonpaw watched Smokefur as he looked side to side. He raced to the other side just as a monster roared past.
"Just look both sides! Dont cross without looking!" he shouted above the wind.

"Okay, Sunpaw, you go with Cloudfoot." Rosecloud meowed. Sunpaw and Cloudfoot crossed easily. There weren't monsters for a long stretch of time. Foxpaw stepped forward and said, "I want to go next." Mistpelt also went with him.
Rosecloud nodded. Foxpaw and Mistpelt waited for a monster to pass them. They both bolted to the other side. Foxpaw skidded to a halt. "T-That wasn't hard." he panted. Silverpaw knew it was her turn. She padded towards the edge of the hard black surface and waited. No monsters here, she thought. Okay, I guess I can go now.
She ran onto Thunderpath. Half way across Silverpaw felt the ground tremble. She froze and looked up slowly to see the menacing eyes of a monster glaring at her.

It was charging straight at her.
