Snow cover the entire camp, and snowflakes fell from the sky and landed gently on the ground. Moonheart blinked as a snowflake landed on her nose. "So small..." she whispered. Runningstorm, who was sitting next to her laughed. "The elders say that no one is the same as the others. Each snowflake has it's own unique pattern." Moonheart purred as he licked it off her nose and pressed himself against her own snow-dotted pelt.
Half a moon had passed since the whole group had sat vigil in the frosty leaf-fall air, and the camp seemed to be flourishing with life despite the chilly weather. There were more kits in the nursery, Moonheart and Runningstorm had become even closer than before, Sunflower was still her usual competitive self; and Foxfang still chased his tail in his sleep. Everything seemed peaceful. And that's how everyone in camp from elder to kit wanted it to be. And best of all, for Moonheart at least, the prophecy about her hadn't appeared recently.
Moonheart wondered about who would be going to the next Gathering. Maybe, me. I've just been made a warrior, so I should be announced with the others, she thought gleefully. There was a shrill squeal as a fluffy gray kit named, Ashkit, tumble into a thick pile of snow with his sisters. "Help! I'm stuck!" he squeak as his head popped out of the snow. Runningstorm quickly padded over to the kits ,grabbed Ashkit, and gingerly laid him back down. "There you go. Watch where your going now." he instructed gently. The kits nodded and ran squealing back to their mother, Dawnlight.
"Wow! I never knew you were so good with kits!" Moonheart mewed. Runningstorm's looked down, his eyes flashing with embarrassment. "Hey, what can I say. You gotta watch out for the little claws!" he meowed back. Suddenly, Crowclaw walked over, his eyes serious as always. "Moonheart, Runningstorm, can you go on patrol with Rosecloud and Sandfur?" The two nodded. "Sure." Moonheart mewed. "Oh! And hurry back, you two, Sunflower, and Foxfang are going to the Gathering." Crowclaw shouted over his shoulder as they walked away to join the patrol.
"It's about time you both got here," Sandfur hissed. "Our paw's are going to turn into ice if we don't get a move on." he said as he led them out of the camp entrance. Rosecloud fell in besides Moonheart as the two toms took the lead. "So, how do you like being a warrior?" she queried. Moonheart smiled and said,"Its amazing! I love the patrols, and hunting. And serving my clan!" she whispered. Her old mentor nodded, her golden eyes bright. "That's good. It's won't be long before you get your first apprentice."
"Yeah, but Dawnlight's kits wont be apprenticed for another five moons." Moonheart mewed regretfully. Rosecloud nodded thoughtfully. "I know. But I know something that's already in the air." she meowed. Moonheart tipped her head to the side. What does she mean? "I don't understand? What are you talking about?"
Rosecloud's eyes gleamed with amusement, and flicked her gaze and tail toward Runningstorm. Moonheart felt the skin beneath her fur flush and get warm with embarrassment. She knew exactly what Rosecloud was suggesting. "I-don't know what your talking about!" she yelled as she padded away from the golden she-cat. "Wait! I'm just kidding," Rosecloud stated happily. " I'm just saying that... he loves you. I've seen how happy you make him and how happy he makes you. Moonheart couldn't help sighing. She did love Runningstorm; there was now denying that. "Your right, but... I want to wait for a little while before I go running off with some tom." she said dreamily. Rosecloud smiled and nodded.
"Hey! You she-cats can have time to gossip at the Gathering! Let's get a move on!" Runningstorm mewed jokingly.. They all laughed and they continued to make their way to the border.

"Come on you slowpokes! Two of the other Clans are already here!" Foxfang shouted as he streaked ahead of the group. Moonheart was padding besides Sunflower and Runningstorm. They all were already panting from the long walk from camp to Fourtrees. "Wait! Foxfang, we're all tired if you haven't noticed!" Sunflower cried out. Moonheart shook her head and bounded towards them. "Well, we're already here anyway's!" she yowled as the WindClan cats bounded down the slope into the clearing, side by side.
