girl across the room (II.)

Her imagery flashes every night in my dreams

Silk air from her breath as she whispers to me

She then disappears to a puff of smoke

'Cause tomorrow's another day, the same scene unfolds

I'll never match her warmth with my icy cold.

Her pictures flash everytime in my gallery

All the sweet and saltiness clash inside me

When I laugh, it's treated like a joke

And when she does, they all heart her post

Just how can someone have what you want the most?

I wanna be like the girl across the room

With just a silhouette in the doorframe everybody looks

And once inside

She's the goddamn sunshine

Everybody wants a touch of that burn.

I wanna be like the girl across the room

Where everyone feeds her with a silver spoon

A walking daisy

It's driving me crazy

Lush perfume scent on her.

Oh why can't I be her?
