Once I was a dandelion petal
Floating up to the sky
Then I open up my eyes
To reflect the garden on fire
We must appease all the masses
Or we are all our doubts
Can't break any glasses
Keep our wings flapping
'Cause that's what all this is about.
And there's a creature called meWings ripped to shreds
And she's torn from the very things
She keeps close to her chest
And her voice is too quiet
But wants to scream all the words
Wants to break all the bottles she has filled with all the hurt
Patch up all the invisible, internal cuts
But only a piece of paper is all I have.
I don't know how long I will lastOh how I wish everything I am will be soon in the past
Oh I don't know how long I will last
Might as well hold on to the hope I can still grasp.
But what if it slips through my fingersMight as well just pull the trigger.
