Desolate barren lands
In mere seconds
I rummage through the path
And cry out in desperation
Don't you tell me it's over
Don't you die on me
How dare your ghost leaves your body
Thereby leaving me
Crestfallen on some pretentiousness
Attempting to ignite me with breathlessness
I drag your corpse around and rattle it awake
Holding on to a micro chance to assure me it's okay
That maybe you just needed some time
Maybe
Maybe
Maybe.My muscles wobble
Delicately holding your heart with grace
My sweat trickles
Maybe
You had mine misplaced
Maybe
You didn't feel that way
How foolish of me to think we could make it through the war
But you were the mastermind
The bomb orchestrating my fall
Yes I did fall
To the cores of your earth
You didn't jump in,
You buried me in
Leaving me with what could've been.
