After Alexa tried and failed to find the nemeton, she was feeling incredibly nauseous and weak. She couldn't tell if it was seeing her boyfriend lie there unconscious or from draining her magic battery. Derek saved Cora. Unfortunately after he had passed out now feeling weak and tired.
"You're okay!" Derek said with a weak smile.
"I'm doing much better than you are right now! And all because of you." Cora said happily as she cared for her brother.
"Hopefully not all for nothing...The moon is rising, Derek. You drained your battery all the way to the red, and there is a fully-charged Alpha on her way to rip you limb from limb." Peter said offering no help.
"I'll be fine in a few hours." Derek dismissed as Alexa rubbed his back comfortingly.
"I sincerely hope so, because a few hours is all that you have." Peter continued.
"He'll be okay especially if I'm here." Alexa said pointedly.
Sometime later Ethan came to warn Derek about Kali and her mission to take on Derek. Alexa was sitting on the couch listening to the conversation.
"We know about the lunar eclipse, so don't think Kali's gonna sit around waiting for it to level the playing field. She's coming, and my brother's coming with her." Ethan informed the group.
"Good enough for me. Derek?" Peter asked with haste.
"You want me to run?" Derek said with a scoff.
"No, I want you to stay and get slaughtered by an Alpha with a psychotic foot fetish. Of course I want you to run, sprint, gallop, leap your way the hell out of this town!" Peter exclaimed with sarcasm dripping off his tongue.
"Maybe he's right." Alexa spoke up earning a pointed look from her boyfriend.
"If you want to fight and die for something, that's fine with me. But do it for something meaningful." Cora added in.
"How do you know I'm gonna lose?" Derek retorts.
"We don't..." Peter said slowly.
"But, I'll bet she has an idea. Don't you, Lydia?" He continued.
"I don't know anything." Lydia said anxiously.
"But you feel something, don't you?" Alexa pressed slightly.
