Chapter 3

At the end of that week, because of Jia's threats, Taehyung agreed to teach Jungkook to shoot.

"First of all, this is the barrel, this is the slide, that's the recoil spring.." Taehyung gave a little introduction about gun parts.

"Are you right handed?" Jungkook nodded, replying.

"Ok, keep your dominant hand like this and hold the gun tightly. The other hand like this. You need to keep your index finger away from the trigger guard until you get the target right." Taehyung demonstrated how to hold the gun and Jungkook followed him.

"Don't be afraid, hold tight.. align your sights and keep your posture straight. Keep your legs shoulder-width apart and bend your legs a little." Taehyung came over and patted Jungkook's knees to help him get into the right position.

"Aim your eyes directly at the target like the muzzle of the gun. Then press the trigger." While teaching Jungkook, Taehyung took his aim and fired.

Jungkook's eyes widened as Taehyung's bullet hit the red spot on the target board. Seeing the proud smile on Taehyung's face, Jungkook glared at him and pulled the trigger.

But he was startled by the sound of the gun resulting him to close his eyes tightly. And because of the panic, he missed the target. 

Jungkook closed his eyes again so he couldn't see Taehyung's teasing smile, but he relaxed when he felt Taehyung's hand on his shoulder.

"It's ok jungkook, no one succeeds the first time. If you keep practicing you will be able to shoot better than me."

Oh, Jungkook forgot that no matter how cocky Taehyung was, he would never laugh at anyone's weakness. Because he is a very good true blood alpha. Jungkook pursed his lips and prepared to shoot again.

But that time too, Jungkook failed. He didn't succeed the third time and the fourth time. Even though he shot until the bullets ran out, Jungkook couldn't even get close to the target, his snowy cheeks were red due to anger mixed with shame. It might not seem like much to someone else, but Jungkook, who had been used to doing everything to the letter since childhood, felt it was a huge blow to his self-esteem.

"Oh baby, you can't aim properly when you're angry. First, calm down. Take a deep breath and exhale." Taehyung advised in a gentle voice. Jungkook obeyed and took a big breath.

"Once again, breathe in.. breathe out." After Jungkook calmed down, Taehyung stood behind Jungkook.

"W-what are you doing?" Even though Jungkook became panic, Taehyung calmly stood behind Jungkook without touching his body. Caging Jungkook between his arms, Taehyung held the gun in Jungkook's hand.

"Now calm down and control your breathing and aim as I told you." Even though Jungkook followed Taehyung's instructions, his heart was beating fast with Taehyung's musky smell. As Taehyung's hot breath hit his neck, Jungkook tensed because it was the first time he was that close to someone.
