Chapter 30

After two weeks of intense training, the day everyone was waiting for came. All of them gathered in the meeting room of the mansion to prepare for the battle that morning amid the curiosity of whether the last battle they expected would actually be the way they expected it to be.

"Everyone ready?" As Shelley's solemn voice spread throughout the hall, everyone shouted in unison, 'Yes, we are ready, boss!'.

"As we originally planned, you should mix with the Army Soldiers. But even if you go first, you will definitely not be able to touch the guards there because of Althenea's power. Therefore, you will be on the front line covering us. While you guys take care of the guards we'll take care of Althenea. Everything is clear?" Taehyung reminded everyone about the plan again.

In that way, the group got into several army trucks and reached Dr. Kang's lab.

When the guards in the first security ring started to shoot at them, the group in front started to shoot back, but before long, they were caught by a magic spell cast by Althenea so no one could move except for Taehyung, V and Jungkook who were unaffected by Althenea's spell. That's why V appeared next to Althenea in an instant and grabbed her by the neck. Taehyung turned to his group while Jungkook looked after the guards trying to shoot V.

"Move and shoot them!!!" Taehyung used his Alpha voice. Hearing his authoritative voice, not only Shelly, Jia, Hoseok, but also Yoongi managed to break free from the spell.

As Namjoon said, Taehyung can use his alpha voice to save his pack from Althenea's spell. Even though Yoongi is a human, he was affected by Taehyung's alpha voice because he has accepted Taehyung as his alpha and Taehyung has accepted Yoongi as one of his pack members.

After that Shelley, Jia, Hoseok and Yoongi started to shoot back at the guards together with Taehyung.

In the meantime, V started to chock Althenea making her spell break. So Shelly's men and the army soldiers could move again. As time passed, the number of Taemin's guards were getting smaller and Shelly's men and army troops were able to pass the first security ring and move forward.

"Ah, V.. nghk.." Althenea scratched V's hand with her long nails, but V didn't loosen his grip even a bit.

Althenea hadn't expected V's arrival and since not only V but also Taehyung and Jungkook were not affected by her spell, it took  her some time to decide what to do at that point. She was too confident in herself and had not thought of a plan B. However, after struggling to breathe for a few seconds, Althenea calmed down and the next moment she was summoning the evil spirits to protect her.
