Chapter 8

A young woman dressed in all black, who was so beautiful that it was impossible to imagine how old she was, was watching the handsome young man who was working out in the gym, looking at his pale skin glistening with sweat.

A few moments later, he released his grip on the bar and jumped to the ground. Picking up the water bottle on the floor, he chugged it down in one go. Even his lips looked pale. Those lips told her that the stubborn guy was starving without his energy drink for days.

"Handsome!" The young man, startled by her voice, turned to face her.

"Althenea?"

"Mhm, who else can get close to V without him noticing?" Approaching the guy named V, she trailed a finger down his bare torso and stopped it at the hem of his pants.

"Why are you here?"

"You're so rude V.. didn't even greet me." Her red lips turned into a pout, but those dark eyes didn't help her attempt to act cute.

Smirking at her words, V took his t-shirt and put it on.

"You know very well, Althenea, that V has never been a man of good character."

"That's what I like about you."

"That's not the real reason!" V shot Althenea a sharp look.

"Yep, I want to take you to my side because.. you are the only one who didn't succumb to my magic. Is there still no change in your decision?"

"You know the answer, Althenea."

"Oh please V, how many times have I asked you?  I have not begged anyone but you."

"Knowing the answer and asking me again and again is your fault, not mine!"

"Together we can take over the world... then you will be my king beside me."

"I never wanted to be a king in first place, Althenea! It's still the same today."

"But if we don't fight and take this world into our hands, humans will destroy this world. Humans are evil. They treat other creations of nature very low. And they are very opportunistic and selfish. If there is an advantage, they will kill even their own kind."

"Humans are stupid, but not all of them are bad."

"You think so?" Althenea smirked, looking at the lab that was a little further away from them.

"There is also a human part in our body!"

"But neither you nor I are normal humans V!"

"Yeah, of course, but I don't work for anyone!"

"But you listen to your dad?"

"Simple, it's because he is my dad." Without giving Althenea a chance to say anything beyond that, V teleported to his room.
