"Mom. Why didn't you tell me?" Izuku questions, staring at his mother who stops drinking her tea in confusion. "You have me grieve him. A man that I didn't even know. A man that probably didn't even know about me."

"He knew about you. Why do you think you got presents on your birthday each year? We couldn't afford all of that, Izuku." Inko states calmly, tracing the rim of her cup as she avoids looking at her son. "And frankly, I'm appalled that you're asking this right now. Why are you speaking about your father in such distaste?"

"Mom, I know what he did to you. Did you think I wouldn't find out?" Izuku questions, reaching a hand across the table towards his mom's cup as she pulls it closer to her. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Izu... It's not your problem to worry about, it never was. It doesn't define who I am and I'm over it. Besides, it led to you and I think of you as a blessing." Inko explains as she cracks a small smile. "I don't ever want to burden you with my problems. I'm your mother, I'm supposed to help you."

"Mom, I'm an adult. It's my turn to help you. Why haven't you tried to get him turned in?" Izuku questions as Inko sighs, leaning her head onto her shoulder with closed eyes; growing tired of the conversation.

"Directly after he did what he did, he told me no one would believe a lowly accountant over an infamous CEO. I didn't bother going, plus I was still learning English at the time so I couldn't really talk anyways." She explains as Izuku hums, taking in the information. "Are you upset with me, dear?"

"With you? No. I'm disappointed that you've hid this for so long, but I could never be mad at you. Despite the odds, you've raised me lovingly and I can't say that much for other cases like this." Izuku mutters, before sighing. "I'm also disappointed by the way you've been treating my wife. You know what she's been through firsthand and yet, you dislike her for something she's already apologized for. No matter how you treat her, I won't divorce her. I love her, that's why I married her."

"I know... I'm sorry-..."

"You know that it isn't me you need to make a sincere apology to. She's been really hurt that you don't seem to care about her enough to actually get to know her outside of your grandkids. It's like all you see her for is a baby making machine. She's human, just like you. Respect her like she's always been respecting you." Izuku cuts her off, getting upset that she almost just gave him an apology.

"Ok, I will."

"Good, now did Auntie Mitsuki reach out to you at any time today?" Izuku questions as his mom looks away in shame. "I'll take that as a yes. She told you to be open-minded, correct?"

"More like she berated me for being a terrible mother-in-law and for harboring a grudge on her daughter for no apparent reason other than my own self-hate..." Inko sips her tea, trying to calm herself down. "I know that I was terrible... I-I want to get better, for our family. I want to make it up to all of them. I've looked into some therapists, so I'll be setting up an appointment soon... would you and Katsumi like to come with me?"

"I'll go with you for the first one. Until you apologize to her on your own volition, I won't be forcing her to come around you since you make her uncomfortable." Izuku spits, causing the older woman to flinch back from the venom her son spat.

"I'll get right on it. Can I at least know her schedule? Or at least the next time she's free? I don't want to disturb her if I can help it."

"Sure, she has a few small modeling gigs for Auntie and Uncle coming up. But those are all in the afternoons before band practice. So you can see about getting to her in the mornings or the weekends."

"Ok, thank you for talking to me, Izuku. You've really grown into a wonderful grown man, somehow surpassing me in maturity along the way. I'm so grateful that you're my son. I love you so much." She tears up, sniffling as Izuku places his cup down and moves to her side of the table; hugging her tightly as she clings onto him, crying into his shoulder.

"Damn, you look rough." Katsumi cackles, looking at her soaked husband who looked like a drowned cat. "Wait right there, I don't want you wetting our floor. Just strip there, I'll get you a towel and the bath is already drawn."

"Thanks. That was the hardest conversation I've ever had with mom, so it took a toll on me." Izuku groans, stripping his shirt and pants to the floor, a wet sound of them hitting the floor echoing through the house. "Then out of nowhere, it begins raining and I walked there! I wasn't about to ask my mom to share a ride after I told her I was disappointed with her!"

"You told her that you were disappointed?"

"Well yeah, her behavior was disgusting. Especially since she knows the hell you've been through firsthand. Apparently, my dad is a CEO oversees. He took advantage of my mom when she was his accountant." Izuku explains as Katsumi walks back in with a towel. "I told her to apologize to you and your mom apparently called her a terrible mother-in-law among other things."

"Damn, y'all gave her a reality check... so I should expect a phone call from her?"

"Just asking to meet with her one of these mornings, yes. If you want, I can come with-!"

"No, it's ok. You have finals coming up in about a month, you need to get your grades back up." She sighs, glancing over to the moveable their daughter was sleeping in. "I'm a grown woman who can deal with my own battles."

"If you say so, just know you don't have to fight them alone. I'm here for you." Izuku grins, taking the towel from his wife and drying the parts of him that's still dripping.

"I know you are. Now is there anything else I need to know?" Katsumi crosses her arms, looking her husband over lustfully.

"Oh, she invited me to her first therapy session when she schedules it. She also wanted to invite you, too, but I told her not this time."

"Oh ok. Let me know how it goes when you do, ok? It can be overwhelming and you know Inko... she's scared of her own shadow sometimes. Though, I guess we know why she's so timid now, huh?"

"Yeah... I'm going to take a shower. You're getting some thoughts and I'm not in the mood right now."

"Fucking fine." She huffs, stomping away towards the couch as he laughs; walking towards the bathroom.
