Izuku sighs, looking over his text messages from his class; the group of college students panicked about their performances coming up for the festival. They've had a few group sessions with Kyoka being the assigned leader of their class, with her teaching some of them how to play instruments due to her parents' careers as musicians.

One of them asked if other songs would be performed, to which Katsumi replied with a resounding, 'duh!'; causing for them to ask even more questions. Sworn to secrecy, Izuku hadn't replied to the chat at all and instead decided to busy himself.

Looking up from his phone, he looks up at the tall building ahead of him. Opening the glass door, he walks in as the receptionist greets him politely. "Hi there, do you have an appointment?"

"Uh no, I'm here for Inko Midoriya. I'm her son, Izuku. She has a meeting at 3 pm." Izuku explains as she nods, her hand out waiting for identification. Once in her hand, she nods as she verifies him.

"Right! Third door on your left."

"Thank you."

Walking towards the third door on the left, he knocks twice before entering the room. His mom sat there calmly as the doctor smiled at the man. "Why hello there, your mother and I were just discussing you. I'm Dr.Hana."

"Hello, sorry for intruding and thank you for taking care of my mom." Izuku bows in thanks as he enters the room, closing the door as he takes a seat next to his mom on the plush couch.

"No need to apologize or thank me. But now that you're here, we can begin discussing. Where would we like to begin? Is there any pressing matters you'd like to discuss or would you rather us go through the charts together?"

"We can go through the charts if you don't mind." Inko mutters, her nerves through the roof as she shakes violently.

"No need to feel nervous, no one is here to harm you in any way. We just want to help. Now, it says here from the evaluation that you have PTSD-induced anxiety. Would you like to discuss what stresses you out?" Hana questions, leaning forward on her desk as she pushes her glasses up onto her nose.

"W-well, a lot if I'm being honest. I-I've always worried growing up. I'm an only child and my parents have both passed on when I was still trying to navigate the world on my own. Then when I decided to work in America after college, it was nerve wracking to be in that country on my own with no friends. My best friend, Mitsuki, is the closest thing to a sister to me and I didn't want to rely on her too much." Inko chuckles weakly as she plays with her fingers. "I befriended the CEO of the firm I was working at since we were from the prefecture of Japan. It felt like home and that we could have been great friends. But then... he did something unforgivable."

"Unforgivable? Would you mind elaborating?" Hana gently pushes as Izuku glances at his mother nervously, her eyes focused on her legs.

"He invited me out to dinner. I accepted, thinking nothing of it. It was nice, but something felt off. I was on my third glass of wine when I felt sick to my stomach. I tried to leave but he wouldn't let me go alone. So he drove me back to his place. I was confused and still out of it, so I let it happen. I-I let all of it happen." She begins to break down, streams of tears flowing down her cheeks as she sniffles. "He undressed me saying that the alcohol was making me warm. He laid me o-on his stupid bed and he took advantage of me... and when he was done, he laughed. He called me pathetic, beautiful, hopeless, everything under the sun. He told me to shut my mouth and say nothing because I am nothing and t-that I wouldn't be believed. Then he told me to watch my b-back."

"Mom..."

"There was nothing I could do! I wasn't getting paid enough to afford the pill or get an abortion. I definitely didn't want to put you up for adoption. S-so I raised you as best as I could, scared that he would come to Japan and take you away from me." She cries loudly, terrified from the thought of her son being taken from her. "A-and now you're married and I'm even more scared than before because you're growing up and you're going to leave me. I'm going to be alone again a-and that monster is still alive."

"Mom, I'm not going to leave you. Not now and not ever. It's always been the two of us my entire life, but you're not alone. You have me and so many other people now in your corner. Auntie and Uncle haven't gone anywhere, Kacchan is now your daughter, and don't forget your grandchildren! Your family has grown outside of us and we aren't leaving you ever. We love you." Izuku smiles gently at her as she looks up at her son in shock, the tears still silently streaming down her cheeks. "Please, don't worry about me as much. I promise I'm fine."

"Somewhere along the way, I've missed when you grew up... is it wrong that it scares that you d-don't need me anymore?" She whispers as he shakes his head, laughing at her.

"You're wrong. I'll always need you. You're my mother. You're the reason I'm the way I am today. You are my favorite person and I want you to realize that I will always depend on you. Just like you can always depend on me. I'm not that helpless and meek 5 year old anymore. I'm stronger now, for the both of us."

"Before we continue down this very wonderful path of recovery, I have a question for you both." Hans interjects, grabbing both of their attentions as she hums. "Would you be willing to reconcile or at the very least meet up with your aggressor, Inko?"

"Only i-if Izuku was with me. I personally wouldn't see h-him alone. Who knows what he'd do?" Inko mumbles, looking at Hana with confusion. "W-why?"

"Oh no reason, I just believe that it would be good progress for you and your son. He's never met his father before and despite the unfortunate circumstances that led to him being here today, I think it would benefit the two of you to have a meeting with this man in a controlled environment. Excuse me, but what's his name? I feel very disrespectful not addressing him properly."

"O-oh, his name is Hisashi Shigaraki..."

"Ok, if you are willing; I can oversee a meeting with you three once I get in contact with him. How does that sound?" Hana questions, writing down his name as Izuku sweatdrops.

"I think that we should hold off on a meeting with us three. I don't think mom can handle that kind of pressure right now. I want to meet him though. So if you could, please tell him to come and speak to his son."

"I-Izuku! No!"

"I have to do this, mom. He's been hurting you for my whole life. The least I can do is talk to him."

"I'll schedule the meeting Thursday next week, sounds good?"

"Yeah, that's fine."

"Izuku..."
